Another year, another edition of fashion’s biggest night. And in 2025, the Met Gala’s dress code was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” in line with the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition.
While the outfits were spectacularly loud and proud, celebrities also took to the red carpet donning some of the most jaw-dropping watches you’ll see this year.
Here are the very best of them.
Jeff Goldblum – Vacheron Constantin Kalla Lord
If you had any doubt about Jeff Goldblum’s status as one of Hollywood’s most stylish men, his navy Wales Bonner suit and fur-collared cape is all the proof you need. His Vacheron Constantin-loving stylist, Andrew Thomas Vottero, completed the look with a neo-vintage Kalla Lord, set with countless baguette-cut diamonds and crafted from a single block of white gold.

Jeremy Allen White – Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Small Seconds
Clean and classic was the look Jeremy Allen White went for at the Met Gala this year, buttoned up in a three-piece Louis Vuitton suit. His watch of choice matched the ‘fit very nicely indeed, with The Bear star opting for a pink gold Reverso Tribute Small Seconds from Jaeger-LeCoultre, which measures a remarkably slender 7.56mm from front to back.

Henry Golding – Cartier Tank à Guichets
In line with the Met Gala’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme for 2025, Henry Golding wore a golden suit by the English-born tailor with Ghanaian heritage, Ozwald Boateng, paired with one of the hottest watches of 2025: the Cartier Tank à Guichets. It appears he’s wearing the yellow gold version to match his suit, with the watch telling the time via a pair of digital-style displays cut into the brushed case surface.

Walton Goggins – Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Open Face
As one of the stars of the recently released The White Lotus season 3 (in which he wore a very nice Rolex), Walton Goggins’ name is on everyone’s lips right now, dressed at the Met Gala in a flowing ensemble by Thom Browne and wearing a recently released Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Open Face. The timepiece debuted at Watches & Wonders last month as a part of the brand’s 270th anniversary collection; cased in platinum and arriving as a 370-piece limited edition.
Price: $117,000
A$AP Rocky – Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC
A$AP Rocky has made some questionable Met Gala styling decisions in the past, but this year wasn’t one of them. Dressed in black and dripping with diamonds, on his wrist was the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC; which, when it was released in 2024, was the world’s thinnest ever mechanical watch at just 1.70mm. About the thickness of a 10c coin, for those playing at home.
Price: ~$820,000
Joe Burrow – Cartier Santos-Dumont Skeleton Watch With Micro-Rotor
NFL quarterback, Joe Burrow, made his Met Gala debut this year in a blue double-breasted Gucci suit and, unfortunately, sneakers. Fingers crossed he’s allowed back next year, because his Cartier Santos-Dumont Skeleton Watch With Micro-Rotor was a very good decision, featuring a yellow gold case inlaid with blue lacquer.
Price: ~$75,000
Pusha T – Rolex Daytona “Rainbow” Ref. 116595RBOW
Pusha T looked the goods in a custom burgundy Louis Vuitton suit, with bedazzled shoulders that vaguely remind us of a Rolls-Royce ceiling. While he didn’t have a brand-new-this-year watch on his wrist, the Daytona rapper was (incidentally enough) wearing a genre-defining Rolex Daytona “Rainbow” Ref. 116595RBOW, which remains one of the most desirable Daytona references on the planet.
Price: ~$700,000
Shah Rukh Khan – Patek Philippe Grand Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5304/301R
Shah Rukh Khan might not be a familiar name to Western ears, but the Bollywood actor is the real deal, having grossed well over half a billion dollars (USD) at the box office through his films. Just to remind everyone that he’s no small fish, on his wrist was a super-rare and incredibly complicated Patek Philippe Grand Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5304/301R. A truly incredible piece of watchmaking, with a price tag to match.
Price: $1,526,300
Jon Batiste – Cartier Panthère de Cartier Zebree
An American maestro and master of his craft, Jon Batiste didn’t just need a saxophone to complete his red carpet look – he also wore one of Cartier’s newest, most interesting watches on his wrist. The rose gold Cartier Panthère de Cartier is set with 398 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case and bracelet, and a further 145 brilliant-cut diamonds on the dial. All other space on the case and bracelet is dedicated to two shades of spessartite gemstones (86 in total) covered in black and golden-brown lacquer.
Price: ~$256,000
Stormzy – Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/110P With Diamond Bezel
Finally, stone-faced Stormzy opted for a look without a jacket, keeping things comparatively casual in Tom Ford. What was decidedly less casual was the absolute heater of a watch on his wrist – the platinum Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/110P with a diamond bezel – one of the very last 5711s ever, which commands an eye-watering price on today’s market.
