When you think about Australiaโs countless incredible beaches and the perfect waves crashing on their sandy shores, itโs no wonder weโve produced some of the greatest surfers in the history of the sport. One such talent is Steph Gilmore, who enjoys the status of the greatest womenโs surfer of all time and after a long season on the road, is returning home with an appearance scheduled at the Breitling x Gregory Jewellers SuperOcean Pop-Up in Westfield Miranda this weekend.
Itโs been a very good year for Gilmore, who has just claimed her record eighth world title and took out the win at the last 2022 World Surf League Finals last month. It was her first world title since 2018, showing that she continues to find world-beating form in a sport sheโs been at the top of for a decade and a half, as well as that when it comes to her mindset, you canโt keep a champion down.
Steph started surfing at the tender age of 9 and it wasnโt long before she found herself on the world stage, entering the world tour as a wildcard at just 17. Just a couple of years later in 2007, she won her first world title which signalled the beginning of her utter domination of the sport, winning back-to-back titles in โ08, โ09, and 2010.

Despite the rest and relaxation that Gilmore is undoubtedly looking forward to for her off-season in Australia, sheโs due to attend Breitlingโs pop-up event this weekend where sheโll be available to meet fans and sign autographs. Naturally, sheโs a member of Breitlingโs Surfer Squad which also counts legend Kelly Slater and fellow Aussie Sally Fitzgibbons among its members.
Gilmore is due to appear at the Breitling x Gregory Jewellers SuperOcean Pop-Up from 12:15pm until 2:30pm, which is located just outside Zara. If youโre a surfing fan, this isnโt one youโre going to want to miss.
