- IWC has just revealed its latest collaborator as the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team driver George Russell.
- The debut collaboration between Russell and IWC features two pilot’s watches, including both a chronograph and a time-only reference.
- Local prices remain to be confirmed; however, both are limited editions of 1,063 pieces each.
It was all the way back in 2013 that IWC claimed the title of “Official Engineering Partner” for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONASĀ F1 Team. But now, for the first time, George Russell has stepped up to the plate as an official collaborator with the watchmaker.
We’ve seen plenty of race-ready collaborations between IWC and Mercedes-AMG over the years, including specific references created with the help of both Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton. But after being within the team’s orbit for most of the last decade (first joining as a junior in 2017), George Russell has finally stepped into the role of the team’s first driver. And with that, comes his own IWC watch.

Specifically, on two limited-edition Pilotās Watches that exude pure ā63ā energy. Both pieces arrive in stealthy black zirconium oxide ceramic with dial details and lume in Russellās signature blue (the same hue that streaks across his helmet).
First up is the IWC Pilotās Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell, which features a 41.9mm ceramic case (15.5mm thick), Ceratanium crown and pushers, and the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre ticking inside with a 46-hour power reserve. The layout is classic IWC pilot, the vibe is pit-lane at dusk.

For those with slightly less technically complex tastes, the Pilotās Watch Automatic 41 George Russell keeps things tight at 41mm in diameter (11.4mm thick), again in black ceramic with a Ceratanium crown. Under the hood, however, is the IWC-manufactured 32112 calibre that serves up an impressive 120-hour power reserve thanks to a double-pawl winding system.
Similarities return when you flip the watches over, with both references being finished with titanium casebacks engraved with Russellās starting number ā63,ā and each lands on a durable blue rubber strap with the EasX-CHANGE quick-swap system.

Itās a neat full-circle moment for the Brit. Since his 2019 F1 debut and 2022 move to Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, Russell has racked up a pole in Hungary, seven podiums in his first 20 races, and five Grand Prix wins, with the latest at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. Through it all, blue has remained his calling card, and now, we’ve got it on a pair of watches.
Local prices remain to be confirmed; however, both are limited editions of 1,063 pieces each.
