Omegaโs longstanding alliance with the most successful and longest running film franchise in history has itself become a form of natural selection. With each Bond, weโve seen a new and improved masterpiece.
Beginning back in Brosnanโs 90โs days and culminating with the latest stunner to be revealed in Spectre, Omega have held nothing back in their brand new limited edition Seamaster 300 Omega Master Co-Axial 41 mm.
Omega and Bond have stood side by side the past two decades in a lucrative marketing deal that has proven extremely effective for both brands. This particular Seamaster 300 is a revival of a 1957 dive classic and for the first time in the partnershipโs history, Omega is releasing the watch as an official 007 edition.
Housed in a rigid steel case, encompassed by a black ceramic bi-directional bezel ring and enclosed in a domed, scratch resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal, this watch is as practical as is it striking. The face is a signature Seamaster design but for the first time ever, Omegaโs principle timepiece has a 5-stripe black and grey โNATOโ strap instead of the classic silver which has dominated the Bond/Omega affair.
The gadgetry includes an innovative OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 movement resistant to a magnetism of up to 15 000 gauss, and a maximum depth of 300 metres (30 bar).
To complement the exclusivity of this edition, there will of course only be 7007 watches made, all with a โ007โ engraved on the strap holder and โSpectreโ on the case back. The tone and sleekness of this beautiful timepiece rightly reflect the dark, ominous vibes weโve been getting from the trailers for Spectre, and it looks as if this killer watch will once again complement a killer film.
Starting price: $8500 AUD
Spectre is released November 6th.
