  • Vacheron Constantin has revealed a total of nine different piece unique watches, ranging from the ultra-complicated to the remarkably artistic.
  • Three of the new releases are true piece unique watches, while the others are two models executed in either different case materials or different dial designs.
  • As the year of Vacheron Constantinโ€™s 270th anniversary nears its end, this collection demonstrates exactly what the Genevan watchmaker is capable of when price and time are unrestricted.

Itโ€™s hard to overstate how significant 2025 has been for Vacheron Constantin. For its 270th anniversary as a watchmaker โ€“ historyโ€™s longest continuously operating watchmaker, in fact โ€“ Vacheron has used the celebration both as a statement of intent for the future, and a glorious showcase of its full capabilities.

In addition to its 270th anniversary collection of regular production timepieces unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025, weโ€™ve also been blessed with the unveiling of the Historiques 222 in stainless steel, and new Overseas models โ€“ including new dial colours and a Grand Complication Openface with a tourbillon, perpetual calendar, and minute repeater.

And as if that wasnโ€™t already enough, Vacheron also announced the Les Cabinotiers Solaria Ultra Grand Complication โ€“ La Premiรจre, which is the most complicated wristwatch ever created, and the La Quรชte du Temps automaton clock (which I was fortunate enough to see up close in Paris recently).

For any watchmaker on the planet, theyโ€™d call it a year after the above. Yet Vacheron isnโ€™t done yet.

Overnight, the Vacheron team has revealed no less than nine different piece unique watches that further underscore its ambition to be recognised as the worldโ€™s greatest watchmaker, with offerings that range from the mind-bendingly complex to the breathtakingly beautiful. Check them out.

Les Cabinotiers Armillary Tourbillon Myth of Pleiades

This Armillary Tourbillon draws inspiration from the Greek myth of Pleiades and the Seven Sisters, boasting 20mm case sides that have been hand-engraved in bas-relief over 450 hours. Its movement is equally impressive, powered by the calibre 1990 that offers a bi-retrograde hours and minutes display on the right-hand side of the dial and an enormous bi-axial armillary tourbillon on the left.

Les Cabinotiers Cosmica Duo Grand Complication

One dial isnโ€™t enough here, with the twin faces of the Cosmica Duo Grand Complication packed with a total of 24 different complications that include a perpetual calendar, minute repeater, tourbillon, Northern Hemisphere sky chart tracking sideral time, and plenty more. Itโ€™s cased in 47mm of white gold (20.2mm thick) and powered by the calibre 2756 that comprises no less than 1,003 components.

Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication High Jewellery Moon Dust

Another remarkably complicated watch thatโ€™s also a study in engraving perfection, the Grand Complication High Jewellery Moon Dust also features two dials, but this time, with a relatively tame 16 different complications. Its case is white gold, hand-engraved with sunrays and planets, is set with 200 baguette-cut diamonds and 165 brilliant-cut diamonds (representing 230 hours of work), and measures 47mm in diameter.

Les Cabinotiers Homage To Epic Warriors Minute Repeaters

This mini collection of piece uniques includes four watches, each inspired by a different legendary warrior from history. These famous generals include Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Antar (โ€˜Antarah ibn Shaddad), and Sasaki Moritsuna, who are all depicted in full battle dress and riding on horseback in scenes crafted with hand-engraving and grand feu miniature enamelling. The enamelling alone for each dial requires 120 hours of work.

The 41mm cases of all four watches have also been meticulously hand-engraved with the taille-douce line engraving technique, each of which takes 160 hours of work to complete. And if the beauty of the cases and dials has left you wanting more, youโ€™ll also be pleased to find a minute repeater calibre 1731 beneath the dial, which chimes via gongs attached directly to the case for improved amplification and serves up 65 hours of power reserve from a single barrel.

Les Cabinotiers Celestia Astronomical Grand Complications

The final watches released by Vacheron Constantin this week are two Celestia Astronomical Grand Complications โ€“ one in white gold and the other in rose gold. Both are powered by the same extraordinary calibre 3600 that contains 514 components and boasts an almost unbelievable power reserve of three weeks, as well as displaying 23 different complications such as a tourbillon, perpetual calendar, sunrise and sunset time, astronomical zodiac signs, tide level indicator, and much more.

As all nine watches are piece uniques, I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if they were all already spoken for (or, at the very least, already command a lengthy list of interested Vacheron VIPs). Also unsurprisingly, the prices of all nine watches are โ€œPrice On Application.โ€
