If there’s one thing that Melbourne definitely has over us Sydneysiders, it’s a decent nightlife. And Virgin Australia’s Last Flight Club is quite literally your golden ticket to enjoying it at its very finest.

Partnering with Visit Victoria, the carrier has just launched this bold new concept: one flight in, one flight out, and an all-access evening of Melbourne’s glittering after-hours that takes off on August 7th.

The only thing you need to do is book the right flights and be game enough to kick on.

The experience essentially transforms Virgin’s Sydney-Melbourne red-eye into a roving night out. You’ll be sipping cocktails and dancing to a private DJ set by Client Liaison at the VA Lounge upon arrival, before venturing into Melbourne for a night of festivity.

Comedian Ben Lomas will get things started on board with some in-flight laughs, leading into a full-scale itinerary that hits every cultural pressure point. We’re talking:

  • A bespoke guided LEGO Star Wars tour
  • Wold-class martinis and nibbles at the prestigious Melbourne Supper Club led by hospitality don Con Christopolous
  • Capped off by a meet and greet with AFL legend Anthony “Kouta” Koutoufides alongside AFLW star Darcy Vescio at the MCG (on-field kick and all)

No hotel required. No sleep in the schedule. Because you’ll be on the 6 AM flight back to Sydney, bleary-eyed but spiritually full.

Last Flight Club is about showing what’s possible when you turn a regular flight into something extraordinary,” said Libby Minogue, Virgin Australia Chief Marketing Officer.

“With Virgin Australia, it’s not just about the destination – it’s about how we help travellers create memorable moments along the way.”

To get involved in the fun, book the 8:30 PM Sydney-Melbourne VA892 (August 7th) and the 6 AM Melbourne-Sydney VA803 (August 8th) flight, then register via Virgin Australia’s website below.

Assuming you’re one of the fortunate few selected, everything else – food, drinks, and nocturnal fun – is on the house club.
