Australian celebrity chef cum restaurateur cum Masterchef judge George Calombaris is set to feed passengers on Qatar Airways flights from Australia.

Announced yesterday during a media launch at Calombaris’ The Press Club in Melbourne, premium passengers on Qatar flights from Adelaide, Sydney and Perth will be receiving the new menu from September 1, while premium passengers from Melbourne will have to wait another month with the menu launching on October 1. Those of you who fly down the back are also in for a treat, with economy passengers getting the same Calombaris treatment from Q1 2019.

With a new menu rolling out every quarter, Qatar passengers can look forward to dishes like Avgolemono (a classic Greek egg and lemon soup), Bastourma Beef shortrib with onion, Fraser Island Crab with lemon marmalade and tabbouleh, and of course a classic mousakka.
