Ahead of Planet Earth III premiering later this year, the fully immersive BBC Earth Experience featuring bespoke narration from Sir David Attenborough has confirmed itโll touch down in Melbourne on October 27th.
This 360-degree multimedia journey, which was a wild success in London just a few months prior, brings footage from the documentary GOATโs Seven Worlds, One Planet series; and leverages cutting-edge digital projection technology.
Expect panoramic scenes of every continent, allowing you to get up close and personal with every kind of creature ranging from a spectacular light show from North Americaโs fireflies and Asiaโs snub-nosed monkeys huddled together for warmth to our very own cassowary fathers dutifully guarding their tiny chicks.

โMelbourne is the only city in Australia that will host the incredible BBC Earth Experience, which will attract thousands of visitors to enjoy everything on offer in our city while supporting jobs across the tourism and events sector,โ said Steve Dimopoulos, Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport, & Major Events.
โNowhere does epic events like Melbourne and weโre so excited to welcome this immersive and inspiring experience featuring narration from the master story-teller, Sir David Attenborough.โ
โThis collaboration with Visit Victoria, BBC Studios and Moon Eye Productions will deliver a spectacular and educational experience unlike any other,โ added Luke Hede, Live Nation Australiaโs Vice President of Touring.
โSir David Attenborough is a global treasure, and the BBC Earth Experience marries his message about the challenges nature faces in todayโs world alongside the worldโs most incredible footage. Victorians and visitors to the state are in for a real treat.โ

As you will have probably gauged from the chat above, at the time of this writing, the BBC Earth Experienceโs antipodean stint is (unfortunately) a Melbourne exclusive โ opening at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in South Wharf from October 27, 2023; tickets on sale from September 7.
But who knowsโฆ perhaps if other states make enough noise, itโll expand to a tour Down Under. Hit the link below to find out more.
