There’s An Epic New Trailer For ‘Ford v Ferrari’

— Updated on 29 January 2023

The (second) official trailer of ‘Ford v Ferrari’ has just dropped, following its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, where the remarkable true story received a pretty exceptional array of impressive reviews.

Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale team up to showcase a superb compound of a compelling biographical drama and a race car conundrum.

The film follows the true story of ambitious American car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), who is determined to end Ferrari’s long-standing dominance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. With the backing of Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca, the Ford GT40 was built – and if you don’t already know what that is, it’s only the most outstanding endurance racer that was finally a worthy contender to race Ferrari in 1966.

However, before taking a shot at the Italian powerhouse, the trailer shows a seemingly greater rivalry Shelby has to overcome – getting along with British race car driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) who is entitled to help in the project that will revolutionize and reshape the racing world.

Currently holding a whopping 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes, James Mangold, the creative mastermind behind his Oscar-nominated screenplay Logan has directed and produced (along with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping) this thrilling racing drama, which is giving us high hopes of just how good it’ll be.

The trailer does an awesome job of showing us the gripping and accelerating nature of the film, making it an obvious prime date night idea (as your girlfriend will happily watch anything distributed by Disney), but most importantly, it’s another epic motorsport drama.

The film opens on November 15, and also stars Caitriona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, and Tracy Letts. Check out the full trailer below.
