As the hype for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker continues to build, Disney has dropped a new teaser trailer for the final instalment of the saga's most recent trilogy - with dramatic new footage.

The action-packed 30-second clip begins with a narration from Luke Skywalker who claims, "Confronting fear is the destiny of a Jedi. Your destiny."

Throughout the TV spot, we see glimpses of Kylo Ren's Knights Of Ren, a Stormtrooper equipped with a jetpack flying towards fleeing speeders, and an incredible space battle featuring dozens of Star Destroyers and Rebel fighters duking it out.

Whatever your thoughts on the previous films in the new trilogy, director J. J. Abrams seems ready to deliver a visually stunning flick steeped in Star Wars mythology that will bring the space opera to a well rounded close. Hopefully enough to redeem itself following The Last Jedi.

If not, you can always fire up Disney+ and watch the original trilogy or our new favourite Star Wars property, The Mandalorian.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker hits cinemas Thursday, December 19. For the flying stormtrooper clip in full, check out the Twitter post below.
