  • Liam Gallagher has once again added fuel to the fire surrounding whether Oasis will embark upon an encore world tour for 2027 (not 2026).
  • Prior to this, Baroness Lady Taylor of Stevenage asserted that Oasis were plotting a 30th anniversary residency at Knebworth, paying tribute to the band’s iconic 1996 gigs.
  • On the basis of ticket sales alone, Oasis generated an estimated £400 million (AU$800 million) in revenue from the Live ’25 tour.

If you missed out on tickets for the blockbuster Oasis Live ’25 tour, fear not – you’ll likely get a second chance in about a year or so.

Throughout Noel and Liam Gallagher’s post-reconciliation victory lap around the world, the latter has consistently alluded to an almost immediate follow-up. Rather unsurprising to hear once you learn each brother is on track to pocket healthy cuts of a projected £400 million (AU$800 million) in ticket sales alone – never mind the proceeds of all that adidas merch.

“Thanks for putting up with us. We know we were d**kheads sometimes,” Liam Gallagher told the audience during the recent Sydney show, capping off the five-night Australian leg of the Live ’25 tour (three at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, two at Accor Stadium).

“Your support has put us back on the map. Respect! You’ve got a lovely f**king country. See you again!”

And for those of you who deem that too open-ended, the younger Gallagher brother was a little more unambiguous at the close of their final UK concert, held in Wembley Stadium: “I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the f**king map. See you next year!”

The man then immediately feigned regret by playfully covering his mouth and slapping himself on the wrist.

Elsewhere on X (formerly Twitter), Liam Gallagher responded to a fan expressing frustration over a particular song being omitted from the Live ’25 setlist with an equally tongue-in-cheek, “Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half’s [sic].”

More recently, however, Liam Gallagher clarified that 2026 dates have been completely ruled out.

“We’re not doing anything in 2026, sorry… Nothing going on next year except the [FIFA World Cup],” he replied to two different fans, also via X.

“I don’t [have] snizzle to do until 2027, I mean happy Christmas.”

The most astounding source of intrigue throughout all this fuss has come from Lady Taylor of Stevenage in the House of Lords (of all places), who stoked the flames months ago by claiming Oasis were plotting five back-to-back anniversary concerts at Knebworth House next year.

For context, 2026 will officially mark three decades since the band first took to the stage in Hertfordshire for a legendary pair of gigs which sold out in under 24 hours; and in the past, Noel Gallagher has even remarked that Oasis would’ve played for seven nights in a row had they known there was that level of demand/that calibre of a payday at stake.

“I can hear and enjoy [the gigs] from my house, and they represent the important cultural role of music venues and… make an enormous contribution to our economy,” stated Lady Taylor (via NME), who seemingly backtracked when The Guardian later approached her for further comment (“I was speaking hypothetically following speculation”).

Of course, Liam Gallagher himself has since shut down said speculation with a crystal clear “IT’S NOT HAPPENING” when prompted about Knebworth ’26 by fans online.

The Oasis Live ’25 tour officially concluded in Brazil last month, ushering in what the band has called a “pause for a period of reflection” – standby for confirmation of any 2027 shows.
