- The Creed/Rocky mythology is getting the small-screen treatment with Amazon Prime Video‘s spin-off series Delphi.
- Produced by Michael B. Jordan and his Outlier Society, the story revolves around young boxers from the titular gym, where Jordan’s Adonis Creed and his father Apollo Creed trained.
- Amazon Prime Video’s Delphi release date: TBA.
The long-awaited Creed spin-off series destined for Amazon Prime Video finally has a title, and it’s Delphi.
Taking place at the titular boxing gym where Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) was canonically trained by Tony “Duke” Evers (Tony Burton) – and Adonis “Donnie” Creed (Michael B. Jordan) was trained by the latter’s son Tony “Little Duke” Evers (Wood Harris) – it’ll focus on the young up-and-coming athletes from this storied academy who enter the ring.

Apart from that loose plot outline, and the fact that Marco Ramírez (La Máquina) will serve as both showrunner and executive producer, no further details have been provided at this stage.
While neither sequels to the opening Creed film, masterfully directed by Ryan Coogler, has recaptured the franchise magic, there’s a blueprint for how Delphi could succeed within the MMA drama series Kingdom (previously featured in Amazon Prime Video’s portfolio of content). Grimy, character-driven arcs and all.
During an Amazon presentation, Jordan assured that Delphi would carry the hallmark “heart, determination, and fighting for something bigger than yourself, for our families, the ones we are born into and the ones we create”, which’s become synonymous with the Rocky/Creed screen saga.
“This is just the beginning, trust me,” he added.
“We are building something special here, and I’m excited to introduce you to the new fighters walking through the doors of Delphi. As always, in Creed we say, one step, one round, one punch at a time.”
Plans for Michael B. Jordan to establish a Creed cinematic “universe” for Amazon (and further his longstanding relationship with the streamer) were set in motion all the way back in early 2023; shortly after the commercial success of his directorial debut in Creed III, which he also starred in opposite controversial thespian Jonathan Majors.
“Details are sketchy because some of the conversations are still in exploratory stages, but we hear that an anime series connected to the Rocky spinoff IP is in the works, and there are ideas for a companion live-action TV series,” reported Anthony D’Alessandro, Nellie Andreeva, and Peter White of Deadline.
“Also percolating is a potential project centring on Adonis Creed’s daughter Amara, who was played by deaf actress Mila Davis-Kent in Creed III, making her film acting debut.”

Parallel to all this, Amazon-MGM had also greenlit a Drago spin-off movie involving Rocky Balboa’s iconic Russian nemesis Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and his heavyweight professional boxer son Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu).
Munteanu’s Viktor Drago was introduced as an adversary of Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed in the first sequel, before becoming allies in the latest instalment.
Deadline added: “There had been some chatter that the Drago offshoot could lend itself to a series, but, according to sources, the intention remains to keep it as a movie. So far, a script has been commissioned, but it is unclear whether it would get made.”
Just don’t expect Sylvester Stallone to give it his blessing.
