The devil works hard, but Taylor Sheridan works harder.
As if building out the Yellowstone franchise in its post-Kevin Costner era wasnโt a sizeable enough task โ which currently involves another prequel and three sequels (two involving the Dutton family) โ the showrunner is now plotting a spin-off from Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone as Dwight โThe Generalโ Manfredi.

Dubbed NOLA King, this crime drama will be crafted around another marquee star and screen veteran in Samuel L. Jackson. And while the specifics havenโt been disclosed just yet, Deadline reports itโll involve a similar concept to the Stallone vehicle: a career criminal named Russell Lee Washington Jr ends up in New Orleans and decides to take it all for himself.
Jacksonโs character, and NOLA King as a whole, will reportedly be backdoor piloted in multiple episodes of the forthcoming Tulsa King season 3 before striking out on his own; the third season is currently underway in both Atlanta and Oklahoma, while NOLA King is slated to begin rolling cameras next February.

NOLA King has been written by Sheridan collaborator Dave Erickson (Mayor of Kingstown), who will also serve as showrunner. The latter has steadily been deputised in the growing Sheridanverse, juggling these duties with being showrunner, executive producer, and writer for the current season of Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, plus whatever else spawns into Paramount+ streaming queues between now and then.
In fact, we wouldnโt be surprised if he adds future seasons of Landman, Special Ops: Lioness, and the next iteration of Lawmen to his already loaded plate.
