  • Paramount+ has locked in the Landman season 2 release date: November 16th, 2025 (Australia & International).
  • The Taylor Sheridan drama series about the wild world of oilfields in West Texas, inspired by the Christian Wallace podcast Boomtown, is the latest streaming hit for Paramount+.
  • With filming in (and around) Fort Worth, Texas, now concluded, we have a trailer โ€“ this article will be refreshed as Landman season 2โ€“related news surfaces.

Despite wrapping its initial 10-episode run all the way back in January, Taylor Sheridanโ€˜s Landman starring Billy Bob Thornton didnโ€™t receive a renewal order for season 2 until months later in March.

And thatโ€™s pretty much been Paramountโ€™s modus operandi for production updates: nary an announcement, the occasional reveal (usually inferred between the lines), and plenty of intrigue. So when exactly is the Landman season 2 release date?

During the networkโ€™s recent Q2 earnings call, Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy indicated the window would be December 2025. Though since then, weโ€™ve received official confirmation of a Paramount+ premiere date โ€“ November 16th, 2025.

Almost precisely a year after season 1 debuted.

Release date aside, what we do know about Landman season 2 is who to expect: returning to join Billy Bob Thorntonโ€™s Tommy Norris will be Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chavez, Mark Collie, Kayla Wallace, Mitchell Slaggert, Demi Moore in an expanded role, Andy Garcia, alongside newcomers such as Stefania Spampinato and serial Taylor Sheridan collaborator Sam Elliot as Tommyโ€™s take-no-BS father.

Jon Hamm, on the other hand, obviously wonโ€™t be making an appearance unless thereโ€™s some soap opera f**kery or flashbacks given [SPOILERS] the M-Tex owner Monty Miller is canonically dead post-season 1. But who knows?

As for the second seasonโ€™s story, itโ€™ll pick up immediately right where it left off with enemies closing in on Thorntonโ€™s Tommy Norris and Mooreโ€™s Cami Miller, right as the cartel led by south-of-the-border kingpin Gallino (Andy Garcia) manoeuvres to wipe a few chess pieces off the board. In the second season trailer, we also see Cami on the warpath after the aftermath of her husbandโ€™s death.

Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton)

โ€œI think Taylor [Sheridan] is trying to kill me,โ€ Billy Bob Thornton jokingly told Variety earlier this year.

โ€œHe had me beat up at the beginning and beat up at the end. At least he let me throw a few punches myself there in the middle.โ€
