Despite wrapping its initial 10-episode run all the way back in January, Taylor Sheridanโs Landman starring Billy Bob Thornton didnโt receive a renewal order for season 2 until months later in March.
And thatโs pretty much been Paramountโs modus operandi for production updates: nary an announcement, the occasional reveal (usually inferred between the lines), and plenty of intrigue. So when exactly is the Landman season 2 release date?

While a premiere slot has yet to be confirmed, during the networkโs recent Q2 earnings call, Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy indicated the window would be December 2025. Though since then, an unverified report cited by publications such as the Hindustan Times and Primetimer indicates itโll be even earlier โ November 17th, 2025 (precisely a year after season 1 debuted).
Standby for the official intel.
Release date aside, what we do know about Landman season 2 is who to expect: returning to join Billy Bob Thornton will be Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chavez, Mark Collie, Kayla Wallace, Mitchell Slaggert, Demi Moore in an expanded role, Andy Garcia, alongside newcomers such as Stefania Spampinato (undisclosed recurring role) and serial Taylor Sheridan collaborator Sam Elliot (undisclosed series regular role).
Jon Hamm, on the other hand, obviously wonโt be making an appearance unless thereโs some soap opera f**kery or flashbacks given [SPOILERS] the M-Tex owner Monty Miller is canonically dead post-season 1. But who knows?
As for the second seasonโs story, itโll ostensibly pick up right where it left off with enemies closing in on Thorntonโs Tommy Norris and Mooreโs Cami Miller, right as the cartel led by south-of-the-border kingpin Gallino (Andy Garcia) manoeuvres to wipe a few chess pieces off the board. In short, major uncertainty for the Norris clan and everyone they hold dear.
