  • In line with its well-established premiere cadence, FX's The Bear season 4 has locked in another June release date (and it now has a first trailer).
  • Similar to past roll-outs, all 10 episodes will be available to stream simultaneously.
  • The Bear season 4 release date (Australia): June 26th, 2025, via Disney+.

FX has confirmed The Bear season 4 will premiere during its usual late June slot this year.

The critically acclaimed dramedy has been arriving like clockwork across its frenetically entertaining three-year run; having first debuted on June 23rd, 2022 (season 1), before following it up in timely fashion with June 22nd, 2023 (season 2), and June 26th (season 3) last year.

A major upside of the ongoing production's famously tight (and thematically consistent) shooting schedule.

“We shoot our show really quick. All in, I think it’s about 39 days a season, so it’s roughly four days an episode,” series creator Christopher Storer previously revealed to Esquire.

“I don’t like to do a lot of takes. There’s something about preserving the nervous energy that’s really important to the show. It’s heavily scripted but there’s enough room for everybody to play and adapt.”

“Once something in the kitchen gets too rehearsed, it can feel a little performative; same with the dialogue. We spend a lot of time after wrap walking through the next day’s blocking so we’re combining as many set-ups as possible, which really lets us hit the ground running.”

Storer added: “Our crew is amazing – like very amazing – and the camera department is fast as s**t. Our actors know how fast we drill and are able to make this thing feel incredibly alive and incredibly nerve-wracking, which isn’t easy. I’m in awe of them every day."

"That spirit also translates outside the kitchen.”

A prevalent criticism of The Bear season 3 was its lack of focus, loss of momentum, and self-indulgent navel-gazing. In fact, Jack Hamilton of Slate brutally (though not inaccurately) described it as, "the absence of well-drawn story or characters," meaning that the show was forced to "rely on gimmicky tricks to achieve any semblance of emotional payoff."

Hamilton also stated how it had become "impossible to ignore how bad the FX hit" had become.

Still, the Bourdain-esque affair – led by the accolade-worthy trio of Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach – found a fanbase. And for the sum of its parts, The Bear earned four Primetime Emmy Awards (including Outstanding Lead Actor and Directing for a Comedy Series), seven Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and another Golden Globe for White (Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy).
