As per this yearโs Top 10 Burgers rankings, Sydney establishment The Gidley is officially home to the worldโs ninth-greatest burger โ edging out New York Cityโs Nowon (#10) for the honour; while standing amongst the likes of Copenhagenโs Gasoline Grill (#2) and Londonโs Salt Shed (#1).
The now internationally renowned Gidley Burger, available at both The Gidley and Surry Hillsโ The Rover due to popular demand, unpretentiously sandwiches the following ingredients between a delectable milk bun:
- Handcrafted double beef patties sourced from Liquid & Larderโs in-house butchery (located at sister venue Alfieโs) & cooked medium rare;
- Mature cheddar cheese & dill pickles;
- A tangy secret sauce;
- Optional (but encouraged): a perfect fried egg & bacon.
