In this week’s edition of Good Finds, we’ve got uber-comfortable cantilevers, an uber-special Porsche, an uber-niche fragrance discovery set, and plenty more.
Jil Sander & Polisher

If you’ve ever put “MCM” into Facebook Marketplace, then this is up your alley: Jil Sander has collaborated with JS . THONET to produce two lines of uber-minimal furniture based on the iconic wicker designs from the cantilever brand. With padded seats for a darker “SERIOUS” line and a more hygge-fied “NORDIC” line, things are about to get a whole lot more comfy over a cup of joe.
Semisesquicentennial Sonderwunsch

You’re not having a stroke – Porsche’s 75th anniversary in Australia kicked off last night in Sydney with the launch of the custom Sonderwunsch “911 Turbo S Land Down Under”. It’s got some Aussie motifs throughout (including a little lifesaver) and is a one-of-one. Less a good find, more a “nice to know”.
Harrold’s Returns

Luxury menswear staple Harrold’s has risen from the dead, like it never left. I went to the launch event last night, and the stock is as stable as ever– canny shoppers can choose from racks of Thom Browne, Amiri, Jil Sander (jinx), Rick Owens, and Fear Of God, alongside frags from Creed, Clive Christian, and Amouage. Notably missing, much to my chagrin, is Tom Ford. One to check out next time you’re passing by Westfield.
Cyprianerhof Cravings

No, really, you’re not having a stroke – the Cyprianerhof in the Dolomites has caught our eye this week as the place to be.
Run by the third generation of the Damian family, the Cyprianerhof sits in San Cipriano at the foot of the Catinaccio, about 30 minutes from Bolzano. The draw is straightforward: a two-thousand-square-metre spring-fed spa, a five-course dinner menu from chef Monika Damian, and a wine cellar running to four hundred labels. Recent renovations have polished the interiors – oak floors, loden upholstery, terrastone bathrooms – without losing the alpine cabin feel. Worth booking ahead for ski season. Just send us a postcard, ok?
Covetable Discovery Set

I write about fragrance a lot, but nothing’s quite floored me like the El Morocco discovery set. The brand is built around a five-scent line inspired by the old El Morocco nightclub – a Manhattan supper club that ran from 1931 to 1970 and once had Bogart in a scuffle over a stuffed panda.
The perfumers have real pedigree: Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Alexis Grugeon, Yann Vasnier, Céline Barel and Laurent Le Guernec, mostly out of Givaudan and IFF. Notes lean into the club's smoke-and-gin atmosphere – leather, oakmoss, incense, Moroccan mint.
The $196 discovery set comes in a metal case styled as a cigarette compact, a commitment to the bit the likes of bigger brands could never attempt. A real knockout, and has me craving a stiff Manhattan and a ticket to one of them talkies! Full bottles land later this year via Luckyscent and Scent Bar.
