Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink deals, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.

In this week’s edition of Good Finds, we’ve got a custom Porsche for the ages, LEGO’s Pirates of the Caribbean set (re-release from the 2011 original), Maison Balzac’s fresh beer glasses, and plenty more.

912 Barca (Custom Porsche)

In our line of work, we encounter a lot of cars that raise our eyebrows, but only a select few genuinely render us speechless. Such is the case with the “first and only Spiaggina ever built on a 912.”

Born from the vision of a private collector and crafted by Borromeo & De Silva, this astonishing custom job “lives between two worlds” (sailing and driving).

“A two-tone body that blends earth and sea on the horizon. Washable interiors developed with SEASE. A shower hidden where the fuel cap once was. Every wooden detail is crafted from mahogany: from the removable, fully washable floor to the bumpers and side sills, all the way to the central mast, designed specifically to support the soft top,” explains Car Vintage.

“The soft top itself is crafted from the same fabric used for sails, a detail that blurs even further the line between boat and car. Completing the picture are the cleats, a subtle but unmistakable nod to the language of the sea, turning this 912 into nothing less than a day-cruiser on wheels.”

“This is not just a car. It’s a whole new breed of Spiaggina. And soon it will become reality for a few fortunate ones, with a limited production run, fully configurable in every detail, available on both 911 and 912 platforms.”

LEGO’s 2,862-Piece Pirates of the Caribbean ‘Black Pearl’ Set

Porsche aside, any seasoned reader of B.H. will know we also have a well-documented soft spot for LEGO. And in keeping with the whole nautical theme of that delicious custom job above, we present to you a LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean set that pays homage to the Black Pearl.

This re-release faithfully recreates the legendary ship in charming detail with 2,862 pieces (down to the dinghy and mystical compass); and features eight minifigures spanning Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, and Hector Barbossa, to Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, and Marty.

You can cop your very own online from September 15th. But fair warning – it’ll cost ya. Not quite 100 souls, though still a relatively considerable price. Side note: they don’t make swashbuckling movies like they used to.

Maison Balzac Cérès Beer Glasses

Acclaimed homeware and lifestyle brand Maison Balzac has recently united with Australia’s Chuck & Son’s Brewing Co to create the most elegantly perfect beer glass.

Named after the Roman goddess of harvest and wheat (i.e. two essential pillars behind beer production), the design notably features a white rim around the top. Effectively, no matter what you pour into it, you’ll be enjoying an “everlasting, white frothy foam.”

Gimmicky? Just a tad. But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t pay it.

Gentleman Jack x The Barberhood Complimentary Father’s Day Grooming

Ahead of Father’s Day weekend (the big day itself is September 6th, for those of you out of the loop), Gentleman Jack is offering Sydney-based dads a complimentary grooming experience at the city’s latest premium barbershop: The Barberhood on York Street.

From beard sculpting to haircuts, the first 20 bookings each day will have a chance to enjoy their choice of The Barberhood’s most refined services. Afterwards, they’ll even be treated to a Gentleman Jack Old Fashioned, also completely free of charge, to toast the occasion.

This promo is active from September 1st to September 5th between 12 PM and 6 PM at 89 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
