Every week, Boss Huntingโ€™s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.

In this weekโ€™s edition of โ€˜Good Findsโ€™, weโ€™ve got classic cocktail glasses with a contemporary design, charming leather goods, an 8-course Lunar New Year menu at Neil Perryโ€™s Song Bird and much more.

Augustinus Bader โ€˜The Face Mistโ€™

Good Finds

In a crowded market, science-driven skincare firm Augustinus Baderโ€™s take on the ever-popular facial mist continues to garner a legion of fans. And with good reason.

Like most products in the core Bader range, โ€˜the Face Mistโ€™ is powered by TFC8ยฎ: a proprietary cocktail of high-quality peptides and natural amino acids that adapt effectively to each userโ€™s unique, individualised concerns.

Offering superior hydration, toning and complexion-smoothing properties, itโ€™s a joy to spritz on the regular (but best applied following your AM/PM skincare ritual).

LSA International Nick & Nora Glasses (2-Pack)

Good Finds

At $105 per glass, these Nick & Nora-style vessels are hardly the most affordable bits of stemware weโ€™ve ever recommended for Good Finds.

That said, like a lot of you, weโ€™re big proponents of โ€˜simple things, done wellโ€™: a notion that maker LSA International clearly had in mind when manufacturing this set.

Made using traditional mouthblown glass, these drinking vessels (from LSAโ€™s โ€˜Borisโ€™ collection) feature elegant spherical bowls and a wide column-like stem โ€” perfect for pouring your favourite Martini or Manhattan recipe.

Song Birdโ€™s โ€˜Year of The Snakeโ€™ Menu, Sydney

Song Bird Sydney
Pictured: Song Birdโ€™s fortune-themed Peking duck is just 1 of 8 courses you can expect for the restaurantโ€™s limited-time โ€˜Year of The Snakeโ€™ tasting menu.

For a good chunk of Australians with roots in the countryโ€™s East Asian diaspora, the weeks between now and early February will be filled with red packets, family reunions, and (of course) plenty of celebratory eating and drinking.

In Sydney alone, there are already more than a dozen major events planned for the oncoming Lunar New Year, but if youโ€™re looking to push the boat out in elegant surroundings, and enjoy Sino-Australian cookery from one of the nationโ€™s culinary luminaries, Song Birdโ€™s โ€˜Year of the Snakeโ€™ menu gets our nod.

From January 27th โ€“ February 10th, diners at Neil Perryโ€™s palatial venue in Double Bay will have the option to order an 8-course tasting menu: full of inspirations and staple foods that โ€œplay a central role in Chinese New Year celebrationsโ€.

Considering the inclusion of laborious preparations made with premium ingredients, like steamed coral trout and swimmer crab noodles, $148 per head is surprisingly good value.

Lemaire โ€˜Snake Knotโ€™ Medium Gear Bag

While the vast majority of gear released by luxury brands around this time of the year โ€” to capitalise on the festivities of Chinese New Year โ€” is at best ill-conceived and, at worst, amusingly tone-deaf; Iโ€™m relieved to report Lemaire has stuck the landing with its CNY releases.

The brandโ€™s new gear bag collection gets a suitably serpentine gloss for 2025, with three โ€˜Snake Knotโ€™ versions in small, medium and weekend-approved sizes.

Our pick of the litter is the medium: the โ€˜denim blueโ€™ leather is incredibly easy to wear (with LWG Gold certification to boot), and four discreet storage compartments for all your on-the-go essentials โ€” think earbuds, notepad, compact cameras and the like.

Casio G-Shock GMWB5000D-3D

Casio G-Shock

The latest generation of Casioโ€™s best-selling metal-encased family of GMWB5000 G-Shocks, the B5000-3 combines an arsenal of practical features with a gleaming steel construction.

For this particular execution, Casio has applied a dimpled effect, across the watchโ€™s bracelet, as a throwback to the original G-Shock band in resin.

Meanwhile, a film-grade solar panel and LCD ensure excellent visibility: a must-have, considering the sheer number of functions wearers have at their disposal.
