Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink deals, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.

In this week’s edition of Good Finds, we’ve got a Star Wars-style hover bike, the Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono “Pink,” perhaps the most surprising place for one of Sydney’s greatest cocktails, and more.

Volonaut Airbike

As horrifying as it can be watching the world inch towards an increasingly sci-fi future, there are occasional silver linings. Like this soaring speeder that Luke Skywalker wouldn’t feel too unfamiliar piloting.

While specifics surrounding the Volonaut Airbike are still fairly minimal, what we do know is it’s a jet-powered, single-seater designed to clock top speeds of 124.2 MPH or just a touch under 200 km/h. And that it’s (supposedly) very real.

Aside from perhaps pricing and legalities, that’s pretty much all we need to know.

Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono “Pink”

There’s something enchanting about the Inter Miami pink/black/white colourway, and even more so when it’s splashed on a tasty Tudor Pelagos limited to just 300 pieces.

Inspired by Italy’s legendary Giro d’Italia bike race – the winner earns the distinction of wearing the Maglia Rosa or “pink jersey” – this cycling-specific number flaunts a durable carbon composite case; and is also meant to provide some form of utility for cyclists with features like the tachymetric scale.

“What makes the Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink special is that the scale is presented in a way that’s suited for the speeds that cyclists can sustain,” explains Tudor.

“The chronograph scale is wrapped around the dial in a spiral, allowing the average speeds that cyclists routinely operate at to be read at a glance. The tachymeter function on the Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink has been specifically designed for cycling.”

Good luck scoring an allocation.

New Balance ABZORB 2010

A killer pair of Y2K-style kicks. And that’s all we really have to say about that.

Doppelganger: A Trip Into The Mirror World by Naomi Klein

Subscribers of our weekly newsletter will no doubt be aware of this one we’ve been reading.

It’s essentially a real-life version of Dostoyevsky’s The Double in reverse, and set during the age of cancel culture. This is the tragicomic memoir of a woman who is publicly mistaken for another political commentator with radically different and harmful views, which sends her into a full-blown identity crisis.

Something a little different for your bookshelves.

Ms Cattea Tea Bar

Come for the cocktails, stay for the tea. Or should it be the other way around?

Nestled at the fountain end of Darlinghurst Rd, Sydney’s only tea bar with an alcohol license excels in every aspect.

Behind the counter, you’ll find proprietor and tea professional Cathy Zhang – Bachelor of Tea Science from the South China Agricultural University, and all – who will get you acquainted with the art of tea appreciation; approximately 50 artisanal varietals are on the menu here (you can also order the teas online via the link below).

The dinner options, while limited in both range and to just Fridays and Saturdays, have been honed to satisfying perfection: think wontons, dry noodles, omelettes, traditional pork belly, as well as the thematic specialty, savoury tea rice.

And yes, then there’s the all-important matter of the masterfully crafted tea-infused cocktails (the main impetus behind Ms Cattea’s inclusion, if we’re being honest). The B.H. recommendation? Order as many vodka-based Jasmine Romances as you can possibly handle to go with a delectable slice of cheesecake.

Address: 17/1-21 Darlinghurst Rd, Potts Point NSW 2011
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Thursday (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM); Friday to Saturday (10:00 AM – 9:00 PM); Sunday (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
