McLaren is the latest supercar manufacturer to turn its hand to the world of electric mountain bikes — following the likes of Audi and Porsche — announcing what the automaker hopes are the “world’s most potent e-bikes”.
Drawing inspiration from McLaren’s iconic supercars, the new limited-edition collection looks to set a new standard in high-performance cycling.
The lineup includes the Extreme 600 and Sport 600 models, which claim to be among the world’s most powerful e-bikes — with up to 600W and 161Nm of torque. Designed by the same teams responsible for supercars models like the Artura hybrid, these cycles feature hand-laid carbon-fibre frames and offer five power settings: including the (self-explanatory) ‘Eco’, ‘Trail’, ‘Sport’, and ‘Race’.

In addition to the 600W models, McLaren will also produce a 250W version of the Extreme and Sport model, set to be available in similarly limited quantities. These e-bikes embody McLaren’s signature attributes, such as carbon-fibre construction and advanced electrification, ensuring a solid power-to-weight ratio and high-performance riding experience.
The e-bikes also feature an innovative digital display with graphics that mimic those of McLaren’s supercars. The full-colour integrated LCD panel on the handlebars provides telemetry information, including speed, battery life, and range, enhancing rider engagement and usability.
With this compelling foray into electric mountain bikes, McLaren continues to push the boundaries of performance, even as it extends its legacy beyond the road and track.
