  • Ducati has revealed the updated Desmo450 MX Factory dirt bike, promising increased performance and high-level racing components.
  • The Ducati Desmo450 MX Factory is an updated version of the original Desmo450 MX, which the Italian manufacturer debuted in 2025.
  • The Ducati Desmo450 MX Factory is set to be available for purchase in Australia from March 2026, with pricing starting from $19,100.

Less than a year since Ducati unveiled its first-ever motocross bike, the legendary Italian motorbike manufacturer has announced a race-ready update: the Desmo450 MX Factory.

It’s even lighter than the featherweight original at 104kg and stacked with some serious components, including Showa suspension treated with Dark Kashima, TiO superfinishing for silky stroke and tougher surfaces, billet triple clamps (saving about 200g alone), as well as an Akrapovič full titanium system with dedicated mapping that trims a further 1.7kg.

Under the plastics sits Ducati’s single-cylinder with Desmodromic valve timing, capable of 63.5 horsepower at 9,400 RPM and has an 11,900 RPM limiter. As far as the electronics, they’re pure Ducati, boasting DTC with four levels, launch control, engine brake control, a Quickshifter, and Wi-Fi to tune Riding Modes via the X-Link app (including a throttle map, traction, launch, engine brake). Holeshot device? Obviously.

Finished in Ducati Corse livery, the Factory marks Ducati’s latest push into the high-octane world of motocross, which has so far included several MXGP podiums and an AMA Supercross debut. The Desmo450 MX Factory is set to be available for purchase in Australia from March 2026, with pricing starting from $19,100.
