- RIMOWA and Vitra have crafted what might be the most aesthetic storage solution/loungeroom feature to date.
- The powerhouses united for a two-piece collection that includes a sitting stool version of RIMOWAโs iconic aluminium travel trunk plus a toolbox.
- The RIMOWA x Vitra mobile stool is priced at $3,920, while the toolbox will set you back around $960.
RIMOWAโs iconic aluminium grooves have taken a slightly different shape thanks to its collaboration with Swiss family-owned furniture company Vitra.
The two key pieces, which โmerge industrial precision with domestic ease,โ include a wheelable stool echoing RIMOWAโs traditional mobile pieces. The toolbox, on the other hand, is directly inspired by Vitraโs style, with its original silhouette designed by Arik Levy in 2010.
The stool enables RIMOWAโs classic design whilst embedding luxury into the domestic space, providing both storage and seating.
Its square structure is topped with a detachable seat cushion upholstered with Vitraโs eco-friendly Laser RE recycled fabric. The outside closure system is topped with a leather strap that slides into an aluminium hook; whereas the interior matches the exterior colourway, housing mobile leather dividers to enhance storage options and a lining identical to the cushion.

The toolbox, revised with an anodised aluminium casing, has been designed to fit perfectly within the stoolโs storage system. It shares the same fabric, with the recycled materials nodding to Levyโs history of sustainability. The handle divides the low-sided, rectangular construction into two separate compartments.
RIMOWA even offers its unique customisation for homeware with a sticker collection based on this collaboration with Vitra.
