- Post Malone (real name: Austin Post) has honoured his Texan roots with a cowboy-inspired fashion collection, dubbed At First Light.
- The grand unveiling occurred last night at Paris’ Hôtel de Bourdon – Maison Pozzo di Borgo (former residence of Karl Lagerfeld).
- Key outfits previewed ranged from a star-spangled all-denim number and suede shirts to a statement-worthy oversized buffalo coat.
The collective consciousness was torpedoed the moment we saw Rip Wheeler dismount from his dusty saddle, dressed in a striking outerwear button-up shirt, a Filson Tin Cloth cruiser jacket with an upturned collar, Wrangler jeans with a Montana-sized belt buckle and spurs, as well as that signature Greeley cowboy hat.
Or did it have something to do with Beyoncé and the Cowboy Carter-induced mania?

Whatever the case, ranch-core ain’t going out of style anytime soon. And the latest public figure to contribute to the ongoing conversation surrounding faux farm labour ‘fits is none other than the Texas-raised Post Malone.
The rapper turned singer and aspiring “cultural creator” recently unveiled his namesake fashion label, Austin Post Apparel, via a show hosted at Paris’ Hôtel de Bourdon – Maison Pozzo di Borgo (the former residence of Karl Lagerfeld, for those playing at home).
The freshman drop, or “Season One,” has been dubbed At First Light, and flaunts “Dallas western with Southwest ranch influences.”
“From his Texas roots to the mountains of Utah, his eye was shaped by ranch culture, turquoise, boots, denim, and years immersed in global luxury through music,” explains the press release heralding the arrival of At First Light.
“Drawing on these foundations, the label fuses Dallas’ western heritage with the spirit of the Southwest, reframed through an Americana lens.”
Aside from the kicks provided by exclusive footwear partner Lucchese Bootmaker, a Western heritage brand that also authentically hails from Texas, notable standouts from Season One include a star-spangled denim jacket and jeans combination layered with a grey hoodie, turquoise belt buckle, and white cowboy hat; an all-brown ensemble of suede jacket and cotton linen trousers; what appears to be a calfskin and leather jacket; as well as a showstopping buffalo coat (all featured in the IG gallery above).
Plenty of cattle baron chic threads for the wardrobe.

Post Malone’s At First Light runway show reached a climax with an unnamed Rip Wheeler-esque stoic modelling a Yellowstone look on an actual horse.
“I love this f**king town. We figured, ‘Why not bring the Bud Light and the shenanigans to Paris?’… When we saw this spot, it was so beautiful. We love Karl, and we are just honoured they would have us here,” said Post Malone (via Fashion Network).
Local availabilities and pricing for Austin Post Apparel clothing are still TBA. And let’s just say, we’re not uninterested.
