Gucci is hitting the slopes โ properly this time โ as the Italian fashion house launches Gucci Altitude: its first dedicated winter sportswear collection of full-send alpine gear, with everything from outerwear and eyewear, to boots, luggage, and even skis and snowboards.
At the centre of Gucciโs latest campaign is Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner, who might seem like a strange choice at face value, given his professional sport of choice, but less so when you realise he was also a youth skiing champion.
Before switching his focus to the courts, the four-time Grand Slam winner claimed a Juniors National Championship in Giant Slalom at the age of seven, making him the perfect poster boy for this sporty new direction.
โThis was such a special and unique shoot in the middle of the mountains,โ Sinner revealed in a statement.
โIโve always loved the mountains, and this shoot took place in the most incredible setting. Gucci always comes up with amazing ideas, but this one felt truly magical and was an experience Iโll never forget.โ
As far as the collection itself, Gucci Altitude is pitched as high-performance first, luxury second, with silhouettes that are clean and every garment designed to perform on the slopes (not just aprรจs ski).

Weโre talking breathable three-layer construction, water-resistant finishes, ski-pass pockets, touchscreen-friendly interiors, as well as those tiny technical touches (zips, taping, panel lines) that only reveal themselves when youโre hip-deep in snow.
In addition to the outerwear, boots, accessories, and bags, Gucci has teamed up with HEAD for a run of precision-built equipment: skis and poles, snowboards, helmets, and more. All carry the Gucci house codes of web stripe, colour treatments, and premium quality finishings, but thanks to HEADโs excellent reputation, theyโre far from just a pretty face.
