  • Legendary Italian fashion label Loro Piana is officially entering the Australian market.
  • Opening doors in February 2026, its maiden boutique will be found within Westfield Sydney.
  • As the favoured label of countless successful individuals, Loro Piana is known for expert craftsmanship, liberal use of cashmere and vicuña, as well as its timeless designs.

There are a handful of luxury clothing brands that stand head and shoulders above the rest in both gravitas and influence – Italian-founded Loro Piana being one such label. In fact, Loro Piana essentially kick-started the “quiet luxury” obsession of 2021, when Succession’s Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) rocked its Vicuña and baby cashmere baseball cap; at the time, it would’ve cost you US$1,395 (AU$2,000).

While quiet luxury/stealth wealth might now be dead, Loro Piana’s cachet has only grown since; the brand remains a key sartorial indication that you’ve “made it” – it’s the go-to choice for the likes of Jeff Bezos, Daniel Craig, Pedro Pascal, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Strong (who must have really dug his Succession wardrobe), among others.

Now, Loro Piana is officially debuting in the Aussie market, which won’t just mark an expansion of LVMH’s presence Down Under (the luxury group having owned the label since 2013), but also signifies confidence in Australia’s purchasing power.

The inaugural collection to be showcased in the boutique is Loro Piana’s Spring/Summer 2026 line-up, which promises to cross, “the span of the season, from the last colds of wintertime to the full blast of the heat, and the places where they fully manifest, from the city to resort locations, following a trail in which colour holds the narrative.”

Plenty of details have yet to be confirmed, though we do know the first Loro Piana boutique in Australia will be located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD at Westfield Sydney. The specific date when doors open, however, is still TBC – but we do know it’ll land sometime in February 2026.
