  • Legendary Italian fashion label Loro Piana has officially entered the Australian market.
  • The brand’s first boutique opened its doors this February, located within Westfield Sydney.
  • As the favoured label of countless successful individuals, Loro Piana is known for expert craftsmanship, liberal use of cashmere and vicuña, as well as its timeless designs.

There are a handful of luxury clothing brands that stand head and shoulders above the rest in both gravitas and influence – Italian-founded Loro Piana being one such label. In fact, Loro Piana essentially kick-started the “quiet luxury” obsession of 2021, when Succession’s Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) rocked its Vicuña and baby cashmere baseball cap; at the time, it would’ve cost you US$1,395 (AU$2,000).

Now, the legendary name in Italian fashion has officially arrived in Australia for the first time, opening the doors of a palatially proportioned new boutique in Westfield, Sydney. Located just up the escalators at the entry on Market St and Castlereagh St (near Prada), it’s easily one of Sydney’s most impressive fashion boutiques with walls lined by Loro Piana’s own linen and cashmere, carpets meticulously made in-house, cashmere upholstered furniture, and rich detail around every corner.

In store right now, you’ll find countless examples of the brand’s staple products, including Summer Walk Loafers and Open Walk Ankle Boots, the Storm System-treated cashmere Roadster Jacket and of course the reversible Loro Piana Vest. The range includes both menswear and womenswear, with seasonal collections and homeware offerings also available.

While quiet luxury/stealth wealth might now be dead, Loro Piana’s cachet has only grown since; the brand remains a key sartorial indication that you’ve “made it” – it’s the go-to choice for the likes of Jeff Bezos, Daniel Craig, Pedro Pascal, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Strong (who must have really dug his Succession wardrobe), among others.

With Loro Piana officially debuting in the Aussie market (which won’t just mark an expansion of LVMH’s presence Down Under), it also signifies confidence in Australia’s purchasing power.

The inaugural collection to be showcased in the boutique is Loro Piana’s Spring/Summer 2026 line-up, which promises to cross, “the span of the season, from the last colds of wintertime to the full blast of the heat, and the places where they fully manifest, from the city to resort locations, following a trail in which colour holds the narrative.”

The first Loro Piana boutique in Australia is located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, on the fourth floor of Westfield Sydney.
