It’s 2023 at the Wimbledon Championships. Centre Court, five sets deep into the Djokovic-Alcaraz final, and Brad Pitt is stealing more attention than the tennis in a knit polo the colour of a London summer sky.
Percival, the Hackney-based menswear responsible for this rather tasteful summer knit, noticed, and never really let it go.
The brand's own style guide still cites it two summers on, half-joking that if Brad Pitt wore one, you can too. Everyone in London grabs theirs as soon as there's a glimmer of sunshine through the concrete cracks, and Pitt's Wimbledon shirt is the reason half of them know what a knit polo even is.

Then earlier this year, in the quieter closing stretch of F1: The Movie, Sonny Hayes' off-duty uniform did it again. Not Percival, technically, but close enough to the brand's own Terry Long-Sleeve Polo that anyone who owns one clocked it instantly.
The brand, it seemed, had already earned its foothold in sport, with Brad Pitt and his fictional Formula 1 driver doing its marketing for free, months apart, without either being asked.
And whilst Percival has undoubtedly earned its place during London’s inherent style scene, motorsport has always seemed like a natural fit for this independent, founder-led Hackney brand. Ford clearly saw the same thing, and sixty years on from the 1966 Le Mans in which the Ford GT40 dominated the world, Percival and Ford are back for round two.

For those keeping count, round one was the Mustang's 60th, all Americana and V8 swagger. This time, Percival X Ford’s limited drop looks to a car built specifically to end Ferrari's run at Le Mans, and did, in the most emphatic way the sport has ever recorded: a full 1-2-3 podium sweep, three GT40s crossing the line together while Enzo Ferrari watched from Maranello.
The collection leans into that history with a Le Mans Oversized T-Shirt ($140), which pulls its graphic straight from the result itself – first, second, and third at the '66 race, all Ford, a clean sweep for the brand.
The Cord Embroidered Soft Trucker Cap ($97, Navy) takes the aesthetic further with a proper old-school motorsport navy-and-yellow pairing, lifted from Goodyear's own pit lane colourway.

And the Miles Garage Embroidered Shirt ($280, Beige) is the workwear anchor of the drop – a nod to Ken Miles, the driver who arguably should have won that race outright, told through an actual mechanic's shirt rather than a costume version of one.
Blending classic workwear with vintage motorsport references, the second Ford x Percival collection captures the spirit of the golden era of racing through elevated everyday pieces. Limited numbers. No second laps.
