Throughout the years, Wimbledon has become something of a timepiece-spotting mecca with both competitors and courtside celebrities alike rocking some serious watches.
Ambassadors flaunting the latest and greatest horological heavyweights aside, it isn’t unusual to catch a glimpse of enviable timepieces that are simply beloved by their owners.
From vintage Girard-Perregaux to cutting-edge independent watchmakers, let’s get into a few of our favourites.
Carlos Alcaraz – Rolex Daytona Ref. 126518LN

As a member of the Rolex family, it should come as no surprise that Carlos Alcaraz was spotted wearing one of the Big Crown’s 2025 novelties in the form of the turquoise blue dial Rolex Daytona Ref. 126518LN. Featuring a yellow gold case and a sporty rubberised Oysterflex bracelet, it’s one of the most talked-about watches of the year.

David Beckham – Tudor Black Bay Chronograph Piece Unique

Since 2017, David Beckham has been a loyal Tudor ambassador, and to repay some of that loyalty, the latter’s team have reportedly created a piece unique chronograph to celebrate Beck’s 50th birthday. It features a black lacquer dial with diamond indices, while the case, bezel, and bracelet are all set with round diamonds.
Rumour has it that the number “2” on the date wheel has been replaced by twin birthday candles in honour of Beckham’s birthday (May 2nd), adding a little easter egg that the retired footballer will no doubt cherish.
The watch was first spotted on his wrist by Adrian Barker of Back & Jack, who took the close-up photo.

Novak Djokovic – Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic

While Djokovic signed on as a Hublot ambassador back in 2021, it was only recently that the Serbian tennis superstar designed his own timepiece for the watchmaker: the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic.
Created as a limited edition of just 100 pieces, each example features a little bit of Djokovic’s playing history, with the case crafted from an epoxy resin and quartz powder composite that includes fragments from 25 of Djokovic’s HEAD racquets and 32 Lacoste polos. Special stuff, indeed.

Roger Federer – Rolex Land-Dweller 40 Ref. 127334

Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer was spotted courtside at Wimbledon wearing a brand-new Rolex Land-Dweller, which was launched this year as the first entirely new collection from the brand since the Sky-Dweller debuted in 2012.
Featuring an angular, 70s-inspired stainless steel case that measures 40mm in diameter, this is one of the more restrained references within the new collection, bereft of diamonds and crafted from the brand’s proprietary Oystersteel with a white gold bezel.
Price: $25,900
Russell Crowe – Rolex Daytona Ref. 126518LN

It wasn’t just Alcaraz who was spotted wearing the all-new Rolex Daytona Ref. 126518LN. Russell Crowe was also sporting the hot piece on his wrist. The New Zealand-born actor doesn’t have any official connection with Rolex, meaning he’s probably good friends with an Authorised Dealer to have been allocated the watch so soon after its launch.

Emma Navarro – De Bethune DB28xs Starry Seas

American tennis player Emma Navarro is a De Bethune ambassador, and she was snapped wearing one of the independent watchmaker’s smaller, more straightforward timepieces in the DB28 XS Starry Seas. Measuring 39mm in diameter and a wafer-thin 7.2mm in thickness, it’s crafted from polished Grade 5 titanium and features a mesmerising guilloché blued titanium dial.

Andrey Rublev – Vanguart Orb

Earlier this year, Andrey Rublev quietly cut ties with his former watch sponsor in Bulgari and arrived at Wimbledon wearing a little-known independent watchmaker called Vanguart. Launched earlier this year by a quartet of watch industry veterans, Rublev donned the titanium Orb model (of which just 40 examples are produced each annually).

Eddie Redmayne – Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades

Eddie Redmayne was seen looking immaculately dressed in a cream suit with a red dial Seamaster Aqua Terra on his wrist. No big shocker given more than a few Omega watches appeared on his wrist for The Day of the Jackal, but this Wimbledon ‘fit is a study in getting the details right: from the dark green knit tie and the amber-tone frames of his sunglasses, to the pop of deep red delivered by his watch, his look is understated and elegant.

Nick Jonas – Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18038

There’s a good reason why the Rolex Day-Date is known as the “Presidential” – it’s effortlessly cool, timelessly designed, and speaks to a certain soft power that’s undeniable. Nick Jonas opted for a vintage version of the famed Rolex: a ref. 18038 with a deep black dial and just a touch of opulence thanks to the diamonds set across its face.

Pierce Brosnan – Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Power Reserve

Pierce Brosnan continues to write the definitive guide on aging gracefully, and he was spotted looking extremely dapper with a Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Power Reserve on his wrist. During an interview with GQ, he explained he purchased the watch while filming Laws of Attraction in New York circa 2003:
“I bought it, I came out of the store, [and] my knees were shaking [because of] how much money I’d just dropped.”
Money can’t buy taste, and Brosnan has always had it.
