  • Blancpain has announced an entirely fresh collection within its Villeret line-up, themed around autumnal โ€œGolden Hourโ€ tones.
  • Featuring a full 16 new references, the collection offers a range of sizes and in both red gold and steel.
  • The full Blancpain Villeret Golden Hour collection will be available from your local authorised dealer with prices TBC.

Itโ€™s not often weโ€™re treated to the launch of an entirely new watch collection from Blancpain, but thatโ€™s exactly what weโ€™re enjoying with the debut of the Villeret Golden Hour range โ€“ expanding on the brandโ€™s dressy line-up with warm, autumnal tones throughout.

In total, Blainpain has added 16 references to the Villeret family, including four three-handed automatic models in a 40mm size, four 40mm complete calendar moonphase models, and eight moonphase calendar watches in a 33.2mm size (four of which have diamond-set bezels).

Each of these releases is tied together with warm, rich colours, including golden brown, opaline dials, and gold accents, as well as interchangeable leather straps in various shades of brown, beige, and blue.

Beyond the collectionโ€™s colour palette, Blancpain has also refined details in the actual watch designs. These iterative changes feature attractive updates such as solid gold crafted hands with luminescent inserts, a larger and more balanced date window, and a revised automatic winding rotor thatโ€™s now openworked with meticulously bevelled surface edges.

The case of the Complete Calendar Moonphase also now flaunts a slimmer bezel to enhance legibility of the dial, a slimmer profile on the wrist, and a larger crown for easier winding and setting. Perhaps my favourite detail on this model is the moonphase aperture, which is now larger, reveals a ceramic disc, and showcases a golden moon with a truly expressive face.

Itโ€™s an exciting, contemporary new collection from Blancpain, and one that speaks to what watch collectors are looking for today. Genuinely wearable case profiles, compellingly designed details, and a colour scheme that has a visual warmth to it.

The full Blancpain Villeret Golden Hour collection will be available from your local authorised dealer, with Australian RRPs still to be confirmed.
