If you’re a football fan who doesn’t live under a rock, you’ll be well aware that Erling Haaland has arrived in the English Premier League and is absolutely dominating the competition. What you might not know is that despite being just 22 years of age, Erling Haaland has already amassed a collection of watches well beyond his years, including remarkable timepieces from the likes of Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. Before we get into the Erling Haaland watches, let’s remind ourselves of his meteoric rise to international success.

Haaland’s club career began in earnest at the young age of only fifteen years old, playing for his hometown club of Bryne where he immediately caught the attention of coaches after kicking 18 goals in 14 games. In 2018 he played for Red Bull Salzburg for a season, before joining Borussia Dortmund on a four-and-a-half-year contract that saw him kick an incredible 86 goals in just 89 appearances.

This dominating record of scoring nearly every single match continued in 2022 when Haaland signed for Manchester City, in a juicy £51.1 million (AU$90 million) five-year contract. His stamp on his first Premier League season was immediate, becoming the fastest player to score three hat-tricks after just eight appearances (beating the previous record of 48 Premier League matches) and scoring a total of 18 goals in his first 12 games (with a further three assists). Haaland’s reign of terror for opposition football players was also been witnessed in the Champions League, becoming the first player to kick 25 goals in just 20 appearances.

With this remarkable success on the pitch and the eight-figure contracts that have come with it, Erling Haaland has still managed to find time to do more than a little bit of shopping as an avid watch collector. Over the last half-decade or so, he’s purchased several dozen of the world’s rarest and most desirable timepieces, showing that his ability to kick goals isn’t the only thing he’s excelled at beyond his young age. Let’s take a closer look at nine of the best pieces in the Erling Haaland watch collection.

The Best Erling Haaland Watches

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar (ref. 26615TI)

Erling Haaland watches

In the world of modern Audemars Piguet watch collecting, this Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is among the rarest of the rare with just 300 pieces (with 150 pieces exclusive for the Japanese market). What makes this watch special isn’t just the coveted and highly collectible salmon dial, but the fact it is executed in lightweight titanium instead of steel, white gold or platinum. Measuring 41mm in diameter and powered by the ultra-slim calibre 5134, this remarkable Royal Oak only weighs around 105g and should be one of Haaland’s favourite watches.

Patek Philippe Nautilus Moonphase (ref. 5712R/001)

Erling Haaland watches

Erling Haaland owns a number of different Patek Philippe Nautilus watches, but one of his very best examples is this ref. 5712R, executed in rose gold. Featuring the classic Gerald Genta-designed case and arriving on an integrated dark brown alligator strap, it measures 40mm in diameter and unlike the time-only Nautilus expressions, this also tells you the date, moonphase, and has a power reserve indicator. This Patek Philippe isn’t the most expensive watch in his collection, but it shows the depth of taste the young Norwegian has.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Pink Gold (ref. 4500V/110R-B705)

Erling Haaland watches

Yellow gold might be having a comeback lately, but that hasn’t slowed Haaland’s love of pink (and rose) gold watches, including this Vacheron Constantin Overseas with an eye-catching blue dial. Measuring 41mm in diameter and a svelte 11mm thick, this is a serious statement watch thanks to the integrated pink gold bracelet and sporty everyday design. Equipped with Vacheron Constantin’s own calibre 5100, it boasts a 22k yellow gold automatic rotor and 60 hours of power reserve, all packed into a movement that is just 4.7mm thick.

Rolex Daytona ‘Eye of the Tiger’ (ref. 116588TBR-0003)

Erling Haaland watches

This isn’t the only Rolex Daytona in the watch collection of Erling Haaland (he also owns the yellow gold version with a green dial), but it’s definitely one of the best despite its polarising “tiger” design. While it isn’t for all collectors, Haaland is clearly a big fan of this rare rubber strap Rolex Daytona from 2019 that features no less than 36 trapeze-cut diamonds in its bezel, as well as a diamond-set black lacquer dial that reminds us of a Rorschach Test. It’s unclear how long he’s owned this yellow-gold Rolex Daytona, but it perfectly matches the colours of his team before Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund.

Breitling Super Chronomat B01 44

The Instagram account of Erling Haaland is a great place to see the timepieces he’s bought in recent years, but his freshly inked deal with Breitling might make future watch spotting more limited in brand breadth. In the announcement of the Man City player’s new partnership, he was wearing the stainless steel and platinum Breitling Super Chronomat B01 44, which features an icy blue dial and impressive rubber strap. Released in 2021 as a part of Breitling’s aesthetic revitalisation, there’s a lot to love about this watch, from its COSC-certified chronometer movement to its bold new design.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked (ref. 15407ST)

Another absolute heater in the collection of watches owned by Erling Haaland is this stainless steel Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked that was first released in 2016. This watch has been in his collection since he played for the Borussia Dortmund Bundesliga side and it remains one of the most in-demand Audemars Piguet watches in the world thanks to its skeletonised style and unmistakable presence on the wrist. Powered by the in-house calibre 3132 automatic movement, it’s a watch that gets better the closer you look at it.

Rolex Daytona Platinum (ref. M116506-0001)

This head-turning Rolex Daytona owned by Erling Haaland is another rare gem in the Swiss watchmaker’s catalogue, executed in platinum instead of white gold, which can be identified by its ice blue dial tone. With a 40mm case and water resistance down to 100m, one of the best features of this Rolex (also exclusive to platinum Rolex Daytona references) is the dark brown ceramic bezel that adds a warm note to an otherwise icy visual impression. If you ever spot this Rolex out in the world, you won’t forget it in a hurry.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo ‘Extra-Thin’ (ref. 16202BA)

This is one of my personal favourite watches from Audemars Piguet as a 2022 release that celebrates all things yellow gold, which is perfect for a golden-haired Norwegian such as Erling Haaland. Yellow gold is arguably having a moment, but this guilty pleasure of a watch will stand the test of time thanks to its 39mm diameter and 8.1mm thickness, tied together with a stunning gradient yellow dial. Released as a part of the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak, this watch looks great on the wrist of Erling Haaland and would make a great pair with the green dial version in platinum if he wanted to add another special watch to his collection.

Rolex Submariner ‘Smurf’ (ref. 116619LB)

The final piece we’re looking at in the collection of Erling Haaland is the discontinued Rolex Submariner “Smurf,” which earns its nickname from the popular cartoon character show (he also owns the green dial “Hulk” Submariner). Executed in 40mm of white gold, this timeless Rolex dive watch design pairs perfectly with the new football uniform that Erling Haaland wears at Manchester City and is a great everyday watch with 300m of water resistance. It’s definitely not the rarest Rolex Submariner in the world, but if Erling Haaland helps Man City to a championship this year it might be the perfect watch to gift his teammates to celebrate the victory.
