  • Hublot is debuting the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve.
  • As the first Square Bang with two central hands, it also flaunts a 3D carbon case, tourbillon regulator, and square bridges.
  • The Hublot Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve will be available from brand boutiques, with Australian pricing TBC.

Hublot continues its stellar run with the announcement of the all-new Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, following the watchmakerโ€™s recent 20th anniversary celebrations for the Big Bang collection.

First released in 2022, Hublotโ€™s Square Bang collection aimed to be a decisive break from watchmaking tradition which, for the most part, has focused on circular watches thanks to the mechanical art formโ€™s most basic component: the wheel. This latest generation of Square Bang takes things to another level, featuring a 42mm blacked-out square case (13.2mm thick) manufactured using lightweight 3D carbon.

The in-house MHUB6023 manual movement is the star of the show, visible through the skeletonised dial architecture and boasting unconventional square bridges, a tourbillon regulator, and comprising no less than 174 components. Ticking away at 21,600vph, the movement also offers a very impressive 96 hours of power reserve when fully wound (shown via the power reserve indicator at nine oโ€™clock).

โ€œUntil now, advances in square watches have been rather timid, usually confined to the case alone,โ€ explains Hublotโ€™s CEO, Julien Tornare, in a statement.

โ€œWith the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, we wanted to take the exercise to its logical conclusion, by designing a movement whose architecture is also fully right-angled.โ€

โ€œThe bridges are straight, clean, and sharp, as if to protect a movement that always beats to the rhythm of a perfect circle, that of the Tourbillon, barrel and power reserve. The fusion is complete.โ€

Despite how strong Hublotโ€™s offering in 2025 has been already, the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve is another compelling debut from the Nyon-based watchmaker. The Hublot design DNA is immediately recognisable from the boldly shaped case and rubber strap, while closer inspection reveals the kind of boundary-pushing watchmaking that the brand has become synonymous with over the last several decades.

This latest member of the Hublot Square Bang collection will be available from brand boutiques, with Australian pricing still TBC.
