First Look: The Ritz-Carlton NoMad In Manhattan

— Updated on 13 September 2021

In the epicentre of one of New York City’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, The Ritz-Carlton Nomad is set to open early in 2022. Being newly built from the ground up at 1185 Broadway at 28th Street, The Ritz-Carlton is expected to be a crown jewel of the area, offering the refined service, elegant accommodations, and spectacular views associated with the luxury hotel chain.

Since Madison Park was established in the 1600s, the NoMad neighbourhood has been a tight-knit enclave described as having an “understated elegance”. Though it is steeped in a long and rich history, the area is said to maintain a thoroughly modern feel, as it is home to a number of high-profile restaurants and luxe high-rises. The new Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad will certainly fit the bill as it attempts to embody the city’s distinct spirit and provide a place of gathering in the heart of one of New York City’s most exciting areas.

It is expected to be one of the tallest buildings in this part of Manhattan. With 250 guest rooms and 16 luxury turn-key penthouse residences, those seeking the arts, culture, shopping, and dining experiences of Nomad can now do so with the added pleasure of a stay at The Ritz-Carlton.

Guests will be able to dine at esteemed restaurants and bars by Nobel-prize nominated and Michelin-starred chef José Andrés. His sleek, brand new Zaytinya restaurant will offer its mezze menu that is inspired by Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese cuisines. The innovative dining concept, The Bazaar, will also be opening after the hotel in the latter half of 2022.

Andrés is also set to oversee the arrangements of the rooftop bar (where guests will be able to drink over 150 metres in the air), The Club Lounge, In-room dining, and banquet events which will span two floors of meeting space, with a private outdoor terrace. The hotel will also feature the signature 630 square metre Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Center, which contains eight treatment rooms, steam rooms, and a sauna.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly, the newest Ritz-Carlton flagship hotel is being constructed from scratch at Broadway and 28th Street in Manhattan. Offering helicopter views of New York City that span from the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty, complete with the best-in-class amenities, these fully furnished penthouses are truly a sight for sore eyes.
