  • Il Sereno Lago Di Comoโ€™s Darsena Listening Suite offers a stay unlike any other.
  • As per its name, this 200-square-metre โ€œsanctuary for soundโ€ is equipped with an array of high-end audio equipment to experience its expansive library of 500+ vinyl records.
  • Personal requests can even be added upon demand to this already wide-spanning catalogue of tunes, though given the hefty room rate, youโ€™d certainly hope as muchโ€ฆ

With the exception of whatever salacious scenes might be unfolding in the room next door, sound isnโ€™t something one generally considers when booking a hotel. But at Il Sereno Lago Di Como, itโ€™s the name of the game, particularly for its world-first Darsena Listening Suite.

Described as a 200-square-metre โ€œsanctuary for sound,โ€ this audiophileโ€™s dream marries the iconic views of Lake Como with a bespoke design that champions hi-fi audio.

From the heritage-grade analogue equipment โ€“ weโ€™re talking horn speakers, tube amplification, a turntable, and even a deliciously vintage reel-to-reel deck โ€“ to a curated library of over 500 records โ€œspanning genres and erasโ€ with personal requests added upon demand, this is a direct invitation to take a beat and immerse yourself in the music.

While this prospect alone would make for a noteworthy stay, remarkably enough, itโ€™s only one half of the postcard picture.

Paired with the above like a full-bodied bottle of red served alongside a fresh plate of handmade pasta, guests can also expect a sumptuous multimedia lounge as well as a fully furnished terrace to drink in the lakeside views; a generous master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe to match (borderline cavernous); and two bathrooms, a wet bar, plus dining room to enjoy the Michelin-star efforts of Chef Raffaele Lenzi (if you canโ€™t be bothered to visit Il Sereno al Lago in person).

Every interior detail and piece of furniture is by Patricia Urquiola. The bathrobes, bed linens, and towels, on the other hand, are courtesy of D. Porthault, Paris.

Rates start at US$6,300 per night at Il Sereno Lago Di Como. Find out more about the Darsena Listening Suite below.
