To fill the Ted Lasso-sized hole in your heart, Apple TV+ has announced that a brand new documentary series about newly-confirmed Inter Miami player Lionel Messi is on the way.
With exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the global superstar, the currently untitled four-part affair revisits the seven-time Ballon dโOr winnerโs rise and rise, culminating at the moment he led the Argentina national team to a historic victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup (Qatar).
Just days before last yearโs tournament kicked off, Messi told the filmmakers: โIt would be the ultimate experience to win a World Cup and to be able to close out my career in that way.โ
โIโve daydreamed about it after many years of fighting for it. I made a million possibilities of what could happenโฆ the first match, the Round of 16, the quarterfinals, the semi-final, and the final.โ
