Ordinarily, weโd be pretty damn miffed with a series for dropping 10-second clips and passing them off as a teaser trailer (over a minute or nothing, everyone knows the rules). In this case, weโre willing to forgive Peaky Blinders season 6 / series 6 โ solely due to the fact it confirms the return of Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons.
While Hardyโs Alfie played an integral role during the last instalment of Peaky Blinders, given his recent workload which includedโฆ
- Venom: Let There Be Carnage directed by Andy Serkis
- the matter of a cheeky appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home directed by Jon Watts
- his upcoming Netflix action flick Havoc directed by Gangs of London creator Gareth Evans
- rumours Taboo was coming back for season 2 (created by the same bloke behind Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight)
โฆ it wouldโve been completely understandable if we didnโt see Tom Hardy in Peaky Blinders season 6. But clearly, the hit BBC dramaโs finale was deemed enough of a priority for him to (re)join Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, and more one last time.

While the calendar still hasnโt been explicitly marked by BBC, Netflix, or otherwise just yet, series director Anthony Byrne recently posted a first look teaser clip on his personal Instagram, captioned with a very promising update:
โWeโre coming for you sooner than you think.โ
Previously, it was rumoured the Peaky Blinders season 6 was destined to land sometime in Spring of 2022 (US) โ meaning anytime between March to May next year. โSooner than you thinkโ, however, implies it could now be between January to February. In other words, weโre just a few short weeks away from witnessing the epic and โemotionalโ finale.
