Ahead of its September 4th release date, Adult Swim has premiered the very first (proper) Rick And Morty season 6 trailer. None of this teaser bullshit mostly comprised of recycled footage.
The promo previewed earlier this week featured a quick recap of the "weird" and divisive fifth season, including the cliffhanger finale in which Rick and Morty escape from the Citadel right before it's destroyed by a black hole - Central Finite Curve included, rendering Rick no longer the "smartest man in the universe" - as well as the moment Evil Morty/President Morty disappears into a yellow portal.

"A lot has happened in the past few years," declares a voiceover.
"Long story short, the universe as we all know it has ended -- but don't let that get you down."
"Oh my god, stop explaining... Stop explaining!" a visibly exhausted Morty with bulging red eyes yells towards a literal spoiler.
"Are you finished?!" adds a frustrated Rick.

The Rick And Morty season 6 trailer released overnight, however, is packed with never-before-seen scenarios. Sorta. While all this is certainly in the context of all-new storylines, from yet another run at Roy: A Life Well Lived to the return of Evil Beth, the series appears to be revisiting its past.
“I will say that it’s a bit more canonical. It really rewards fans of the show that have been watching up to this point,” Co-Creator Justin Roiland said of Rick And Morty season 6.
“I think we’re kind of finally back into the rhythm of Rick And Morty, and I think season 6 is… I didn’t particularly think season 5 was bad, but season 6 is fucking amazing. It really is a fucking quality season.”
“It’s hard to overstate the impact of Rick And Morty. More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon,” stated Michael Ouweleen, President of Adult Swim & Cartoon Network.
“As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun — so keep your eyes peeled.”

Rick And Morty season 6 will hail the (vocal) return of Roiland himself as the titular Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, Mr Poopybutthole, etc.; Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith; Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith; plus Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith.
While the Rick And Morty season 6 release date has been locked in for September 4th of 2022 (US), it’s unclear how much of a delay we'll experience here in the southern hemisphere before the brand new episodes hit Netflix Australia — stay tuned for key updates, check out the full-length trailer above, and read the official synopsis below.
