Insecure blokes the world over have collectively breathed a sigh of relief as Theo James, star of HBOโs The White Lotus, admits he was indeed sporting a prosthetic penis during a certain much-talked-about scene.
For those of you who arenโt up to date โ but have somehow found your way into this article nonetheless โ during the first episode of the ongoing season (S02E01 โArrivalsโ), Jamesโ character Cameron Babcock shares a borderline uncomfortable moment with Aubrey Plazaโs Harper Spiller.
In the latterโs hotel room, Cam brazenly changes into a borrowed swimsuit, exposing himself from tip to taint, and leaving very little to the imagination. Whatโs written off as a little strange, however, comes into play with the overarching storyline later on.

And believe it or not, the original draft of this nude scene in question was apparently โmore graphicโ than what we eventually received.
โSo, you go into these scenes, and you have a conversation with the director, and the producers, and they go: โOkay, for this, weโre gonna use a prostheticโโฆ and you say: โOkay, that sounds good,'โ Theo James revealed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
โI just want it not to be distracting. It needs to be Regular Joe. Because the scene, you know, itโs not about the pee-pee.โ

โItโs about power play and sex. Itโs about whether he did it deliberately or whether it was an accident and what that means. [Makeup head Rebecca Hickey] says, โI got you. Yeah, I got you. Regular Joe.'โ
Clearly, Ms Hickey and a good portion of the world have very different ideas about what constitutes a Regular Joe. Because if โnine inches flaccid and four inches wideโ is the standard, itโs safe to say millions of us are disappointing somebody at home.
James added: โItโs a hammer. I mean, itโs bigger than that. Itโs like she stole it off a donkey in the fieldโฆ The thing is ginormous.โ
