As if it were a Mandate of Heaven for silly season under the sun, Four Loko is officially washing onto Aussie shores.
Bound for both Coles and select independent retailers, the iconic Phusion Projects ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage will arrive in three key flavours: Blue Cocktail, Citrus Cocktail, and Strawberry Lemon Cocktail — in all their fruity (and 7% ABV) glory.
“We are thrilled to be able to take Four Loko to the next level and create even more epic stories Down Under,” said Gavin Woodroofe, General Manager at Phusion Projects.
“We’ve done the research and have found the most desirable product for the Australian consumer that Phusion has to offer."
As you may be aware, RTDs have had something of a moment in recent years; with domestic consumption doubling since pre-pandemic times. Aside from the flagship likes of White Claw, cult Japanese favourite -196, and its rival hard seltzers/alcoholic alternatives to beer, the market has spawned countless products.
In 2023, Australia's RTD market was valued at $1.3 billion.
Four Loko will soon be available to purchase in 4 x 330ml packs for just $29 (24-pack prices TBA) here in Australia. Keep an eye out here for a specific launch date.
