Every week, Boss Huntingโ€™s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.

In this weekโ€™s edition of โ€˜Good Findsโ€™, weโ€™ve got the latest generation of Chopardโ€™s Lunar One timepieces; limited-edition Birkenstocks; the Fujifilm Instax, now in wide format; and much more.

Chopardโ€™s Revamped L.U.C. Lunar One Perpetual Calendars

Chopard L.U.C One Lunar One

Weโ€™re not even into Watches & Wonders season, yet Chopard has already deployed some truly heavy artillery to keep horological enthusiasts excited these next few months.

This week, the family-owned jeweller and watchmaker added two new โ€˜Lunar Oneโ€™ releases to its L.U.C collection: the pinnacle of complicated in-house watchmaking at Chopard. Both measure 40.5mm and are available in either rose or white gold.

Technically evolutions upon an existent design (the brand has offered a Lunar One complication since 2005), these new L.U.C calendars are as much an aesthetic leap forward as they are a technical one.

Chopardโ€™s designers have taken much inspiration from the classical bassine-style pocket watches of the early 20th century. Each caseโ€™s divine, rounded edges contrast with the (hand-applied) guillochรฉ on the dial; which serve to draw the wearerโ€™s eye to the rotating orbital display that gives the โ€˜Lunar Oneโ€™ its name.

Now the million-dollar question: when is a variation in Lucent steel coming?

The Nike 24.7 Collection

Designed to โ€œsupport the athleteโ€™s complete lifestyle,โ€ Nike 24.7 is the latest apparel collection from the Swoosh โ€” available online and in a handful of select retail locations starting January 30th.

Per the 24.7 moniker, the brief is a selection of womenโ€™s and menโ€™s styles, intended to offer seamless all-day versatility. One standout aspect of this is the introduction of multiple new performance materials. Specifically, ImpossiblySoft and PerfectStretch.

The former is a polished fleece-like material (made, as pictured above, into a crewneck), while PerfectStretch appears to be the preferred material for bottoms: including a chino and five-pocket pant.

Birkenstock โ€˜Londonโ€™

London faded purple suede leather

Lately, weโ€™ve been spending a lot of time exploring comfortable and handsomely styled alternatives to the Birkenstock; yet for all this handwringing, itโ€™s incredibly difficult to look past the genuine article.

Still, in an effort to mix things up, the recommendation would be to pick a pair of clogs that isnโ€™t in the Boston or Arizona range โ€” like this web-exclusive โ€˜Londonโ€™.

Combining all the well-known advantages of Birkenstockโ€™s cork footbed with the protection and seamless look of a closed shoe, these are so smart that you could probably even wear them to Fashion Week. Probably.

Lโ€™Epรฉe 1839 Watch Box

We get if you find Lโ€™Epรฉeโ€™s latest novelty (released on LVMH Watch Week) a bit bewildering. Yes, it costs 9,900 francs. No, it doesnโ€™t actually wind your timepiece.

All of that said, itโ€™s an incredibly singular accessory: built around a transparent acrylic frame and mechanical platform โ€” one which lifts your watch out of storage, at the push of a button.

One weโ€™d recommend for the proverbial man who has everything.

Fujifilm Instax WIDE Evo

Good Finds

Fujifilmโ€™s much-loved Instax has now gotten the wide-angle treatment, adding to its suite of hybrid functions which (just to recap) includes an instant camera, smartphone printer, and six toggleable styles of frame.

As youโ€™d expect from Japanโ€™s preeminent camera maker, build quality is excellent: featuring textured rubber surfaces and a โ€˜degree controlโ€™ built into the lens. Rotate it for access to upwards of 100 different modifiers to this Instaxโ€™s standard 10 lens effects.

Lunar New Year Afternoon Tea, Capella Sydney

Capella Sydney

Singaporean luxury hotelier Capella is celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Snake in a big way.

At the brandโ€™s property in Sydney, expect Lunar New Yearโ€™s Eve festivities to kick off with ceremonial lion dancing (open the public), or a lesson in the art of fai chun calligraphy โ€” overseen by Tea & Calligraphy Master Raymond Leung.

Of course, assuming you want to extend your Lunar New Year celebrations out over the next fortnight, the hotelโ€™s Aperture lounge is serving an on-theme afternoon tea set until February 16th.

There are technically no East Asian eateries at Capella, so this is a nifty opportunity to sample Chinese-inspired snacks โ€” like pork dumplings or a โ€˜cornettoโ€™ of Peking duck โ€” in the confines of what is arguably Sydneyโ€™s most photogenic hotel lounge.
