  • A deep-pocketed canine lover (and loyal Rolls-Royce customer) has taken delivery of a custom Spectre inspired by their dog Bailey.
  • From the bespoke paint finish recreating the Labrador-Golden Retrieverโ€™s fur to a veneer portrait that reportedly demanded four months, the Rolls-Royce Spectre Bailey is a next-level tribute.
  • An unaltered 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre starts from $770,000 before on-road costs; one can only imagine what a Spectre Bailey will set you back.

How far would you go to express that indescribable love for your dog?

Would you dress them in designer clothing? Would you take them on a flight โ€“ Virgin Australia domestic hop, business class, or private?

How about commissioning a Rolls-Royce Spectre that not only bears their likeness in the iridescent two-tone finish โ€“ exclusively reserved paint colours combined to mimic the soft fur of their ears โ€“ but also a lifelike marquetry portrait between the rear seats that required four months to accomplish?

Thatโ€™s precisely what one longstanding Rolls-Royce client based in the US has gone ahead and done for their Labrador-Golden Retriever mix, with what the automaker itself has officially dubbed the Rolls-Royce Spectre Bailey.

Rolls-Royce Spectre Bailey

โ€œWe are lifelong car enthusiasts, yes, but we are also lifelong animal lovers, and our dog Bailey is a cherished member of our family,โ€ explained the unidentified Rolls-Royce client.

โ€œWhen we started our Rolls-Royce Spectre commission, we saw the opportunity to create something beautiful which would remind us of him for decades to come. Working with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, we were surprised at every turn with their wonderful ideas โ€“ the wood inlay, or the paw prints on the sill โ€“ which added so much to the experience.โ€

โ€œSpectre Bailey is everything we hoped for and more; itโ€™s a joyful tribute to our loyal companion.โ€

Crystal Fusion over Beautiful Bailey paint job that reacts to the light and complex 180-piece natural veneer portrait aside, as alluded to above, the one-off features recreation paw prints along the door sillsโ€™ treadplates, interior wood inlays, and even on the exterior โ€“ hand-painted in Rose Gold to match the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine.

The interior is presented in Moccasin and Crรจme Light leather, beautifully complemented by Dark Spice and Casden Tan accents which, similar to the outside, are reminiscent of Baileyโ€™s fur colour; while wood surfaces are finished in High Gloss Royal Walnut veneer.

Phil Fabre de la Grange, Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: โ€œFor Rolls-Royce, one of the great joys of a Bespoke commission is becoming immersed in the clientโ€™s world and the unique story behind their vision.โ€

โ€œThis is perfectly captured by Spectre Bailey โ€“ a charming commission that reaffirms that inspiration can come from anywhere.โ€

โ€œOur team was absolutely delighted to collaborate with our long-standing clients to bring this concept to life in a playful yet timeless manner, reflecting the special place Bailey holds in their hearts.โ€

As far as we know, the all-electric Spectre (Rolls-Royceโ€™s first pure EV) remains stock standard under the hood: in lieu of a beastly 6.75-litre V12 engine, youโ€™ll find twin electric motors capable of generating 430kW/900Nm and clocking a WLTP range of approximately 530 kilometres. The claimed 0-100 dash time is 4.5 seconds.

Onto the matter of price, given that a regular 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre starts from $770,000 before on-road costs, and the extensive bespoke work that was involved with the singular Spectre Baileyโ€ฆ weโ€™re guessing the headline-making tribute to manโ€™s best friend cost multiples of the six-figure entry point.
