With most of Hollywood’s awards nights in the rear view mirror, it’s time to turn our attention to the 2026 Met Gala, where the event’s theme supports the Costume Institute’s newest exhibition, โ€œCostume Art.โ€ Naturally, A-listers from across the globe came together in some unforgettable outfits, but our attention was firmly fixed on the wrists of the Met Gala guests to see what watches we could spot.

These are the very best of them, so let’s get straight into it.

Jay-Z – Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300G-001

It’s no secret that Jay-Z has a pretty serious watch collection, so you know it’s a special occasion when he decides to strap his Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300G-001 on the wrist. One of the most complicated wristwatches ever made, it features two dials to display its 20 different functions and remains a holy grail for countless collectors around the world.

Rami Malek – Cartier Crash

It wouldn’t be a red carpet without someone wearing a Cartier Crash, and this year, Rami Malek wore the Dali-esque model in what appears to be a rare example in white gold with a silver opaline dial.

Specifically, it could be an order from Cartier’s recently shuttered NSO series (New Special Order), which allowed the brand’s most important collectors to offer input on design details such as case metal, dial colour, and highlights, and more.

Luke Evans – Hublot Big Bang Unico High Jewellery

If you were hunting for the best ‘fits of the 2026 Met Gala, Luke Evans is up there with the best of them, and complementing his Tom of Finland-inspired attire was an unmissable Hublot Big Bang Unico High Jewellery. Originally released in 2020, its 42mm white gold case is set with no less than 334 baguette-cut diamonds (totalling 12.5 carats), while beneath the blanket of stones is the HUB1280 calibre.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – Jacob & Co. Billionaire III

Anyone as big as The Rock needs a serious watch on their wrist, and that’s exactly what we’ve got at the 2026 Met Gala. Johnson was wearing a truly gargantuan white gold Jacob & Co. Billionaire III, measuring 43mm wide, 54mm in length, and set with 714 emerald-cut white diamonds (somewhere between 129 and 147 carats). A genuine diamond cuff watch.

Serena Williams – Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar

Serena Williams was spotted wearing Audemars Piguet at its very best: the Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar ref. 26685XT. Crafted from 41mm of titanium and Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG) and measuring a slim-line 9.5mm thick, it’s one of only a handful of perpetual calendars with a sapphire dial, revealing the recently debuted openworked calibre 7139 within.

Finn Wolfhard & Tyriq Withers – Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds โ€˜Or Deco Cocktailโ€™ย

This year at the 2026 Academy Awards, Jaeger-LeCoultre gave us a sneak peek at its upcoming Master Control Chronometre collection, putting it on the wrist of Robert Pattinson for the watch community to try and decode. For the 2026 Met Gala, the watchmaker’s watchmaker used a similar tactic.

Both Finn Wolfhard and Tyriq Withers wore what appears to be a Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds in white gold, with the same style of bracelet we saw in 2025, but set with twin rows of blue sapphires and green emeralds, respectively.

Shortly after the Met Gala concluded, Jaeger-LeCoultre confirmed they were both wearing the new Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds โ€˜Or Deco Cocktailโ€™, which indeed were white gold and set with emeralds and sapphires (there’s also a pink gold reference with rubies). The stones in all three references are set using the brand’s Mรฉtiers Rares railโ€‘setting technique and are reportedly limited to just 30 pieces each.

Connor Storrie – Omega Constellation Observatory

Connor Storrie - Omega Constellation Observatory

This Omega Constellation Observatory was first publicly seen on the wrist of Delroy Lindo at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. At the time, no one had any idea what it was.

A week later, Omega pulled off the covers off, revealing the revived Constellation collection, and of all the references released, this example, worn by Connor Storrie with a Moonshine gold case and bracelet, is the most impressive.

Paul Anthony Kelly – Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon

Perfectly chosen to match the burgundy velvet of his jacket, Paul Anthony Kelly was seen wearing the recently released Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon. Cased in 42.5mm of titanium (10.39mm thick), it’s a sporty complication from Vacheron Constantin at its very best.

Nicholas Hoult – Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar

Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador Nicholas Hoult was seen wearing what appears to be the watchmaker’s Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. However, on closer inspection, it appears the hands are a different tone than the rest of the case – a detail that’s not currently in the Jaeger-LeCoultre catalogue. Perhaps this, too, is a teaser of an upcoming launch later in the year.

Morgan Spector – IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 44

Morgan Spector - IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 44

IWC Portugieser is a collection that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves, which is why it was great to see the Perpetual Calendar 44 on Morgan Spector’s wrist. Cased in white gold and featuring a Dune coloured dial that made its debut a few years back, this one’s a sleeper.
