A very late lunch... 18 months late, in fact. I finally got around to Olympic Meats in Marrickville over the weekend. The Chicken Pitogyro ($21), served with all the essential Greek trimmings and a healthy side of chips, did more than merely hit the spot – it blew a pita-shaped hole clean through the centre of it.

A cracking reward for some truly world-class procrastination.

Getting hands on with Zenith's new DEFY Extreme Ultraviolet … and I couldn’t believe just how wearable this 45mm bright purple openworked chrono actually is in the metal. The violet isn't paint either; it's tinted sapphire, so you're looking through coloured glass straight into an openworked El Primero 9004, the same architecture Rolex quietly borrowed for Daytonas between '88 and 2000 without ever putting Zenith's name on the dial. For me, I don't know what's more impressive: the sheer dominance of this contemporary movement or having the audacity from Zenith to house it all in a David Beckham's wedding suit. Either way, it’s confidently taking the top gong with the BH boys this week.

Sydney's finally about to get a new luxe hotel within two hours of Sydney All Sydneysiders would be well aware of the starved and stale hotel offerings within two hours of the city.Excitingly, in spring, The Grand Saddles Lodge will be opening on the Central Coast as part of the Saddles Mount White precinct. How luxurious is it actually going to be? That remains to be seen. I’m just excited to see something new in the market, finally.

Darren Aronosky to direct the Elon Musk biopic is a perfect pairing– can you imagine the tight shots as he’s crashing out on X?

If you believe the headlines... the Australian property market is in free fall. While definitely painful for some, a good thing for the long term future of the country in my opinion. But I digress. A redditor has built a tool called DropBee which tracks sales and rental price drops for every property on the market. Take this house in Byron Bay for example - first listed for $4.2m three months ago, DropBee has tracked a 28% price drop to $3m. Very handy if you’re looking for a new house.

Of course McLaren win … as soon as I hit publish on a piece suggesting that the Woking-based outfit is nowhere near its Formula 1 rivals. But Norris’ maiden win in 2026 is exactly what makes this season – juggling new regulations and machinery – so difficult to predict. Across the garage, though, a DNF. Piastri was leading in Hungary before a mechanical issue and a wayward Carlos Sainz turned pole into the fastest way to ruin a Sunday. Taking the lead at the start was "definitely the highlight," Piastri said after. "It went pretty downhill from there.”
