'The Hawk' is not a good show, and I don't know why I'm watching it but the silver lining is that it’s introduced me to the BMW Isetta - the cutest little car I think I’ve ever seen. Turns out it’s the car that saved BMW and they sold over 160,000 of them in the mid 20th-century. There’s one for sale in Australia right now for a lazy $54,000. Get in quick.

Anyone else's screen time getting out of control? I know mine is, so I bought a Brick - and 3 days in, the little grey block that lives on our fridge at home has really helped me cut back. When I get home, I ‘brick’ my phone, which blocks access to social media and entertainment apps (or whatever you want to block) and don’t unbrick it until I’m leaving for the office. For someone with very little self-control, it’s helping me be more present with family and block out the noise.

I've already lost hours to BBC Sound Effects archive, home to more than 33,000 meticulously recorded sounds ranging from peregrine falcon calls and 1950s steam locomotives to vintage cash registers and pub ambience. It's basically the Library of Alexandria for filmmakers, podcasters, creators, or anyone looking to deliberarely lose an afternoon before the weekend.
