I'd never have thought that Michael Kors would ever make a half-decent fragrance, but here we are: I recently got my mitts on a bottle of Blue Dusk and must say it’s a plum like no other! Maybe I should start fragrance of the week posting?

9 in 10 Aussies are holding onto clothes they never wear.. That’s an estimated $15 billion worth of unworn gear gathering dust nationwide. To help give those forgotten threads a second life, Uber and Australian Red Cross are bringing back their annual Clothing Drive this Saturday, offering free doorstep pickups between 10am and 4pm across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra. Bag up your clean, quality pre-loved clothes, book a free Uber Courier through the Uber or Uber Eats app, and send them on their way. Last year’s drive collected 125,000kg of clothing, so if you’ve been meaning to clear out that pile of jackets, jeans and questionable impulse buys, now’s your time to shine.
Is Bremont staking its claim in Australia? I’ve just spent some time with the British watchmaker in Sydney, getting hands-on with a few of its latest references, and there’s a lot more to the current collection than I think we’re all giving it credit for. The 250-piece Supermarine in full ceramic is the obvious (and most recent) highlight, but elsewhere the Terra Nova, the Supernova, which is set to become the first British watch on the Moon, and the Altitude collection all make a compelling case for a brand that has spent the past few years navigating some fairly significant changes in ownership.I’m starting to give Bremont some serious consideration in that $5,000 to $10,000 range. That’s an exceptionally competitive corner of the watch market, but there’s enough here to make me think this sleeper brand deserves a closer look.
Just picked up the Denza B5 for the weekend and I’ve gotta say - at least after a 40 minute drive - that it’s bloody compelling for the price. $75k drive away and you’re getting a car with the feature set of something four times the price. John drove the B8 a few months ago and loved it too. Love them or hate them, Chinese car companies are going to be driving car prices down over the next few years, which is good for everyone.
