From sun-bleached clay courts on the French Riviera to barefoot rallies on private islands in the Indian Ocean, weโre often spoilt for choice when it comes to the worldโs best tennis hotels. Of course, itโs not the worst problem to have.
And ultimately, wherever you are in the world โ whether in Geneva for work or the Caribbean for play โ thereโs a certain reassurance in knowing that a perfectly maintained court is never too far away.

Hรดtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Antibes, France

I should preface this list by pointing out that our Best Tennis Hotels have been ranked in no particular order, but it helps to kick things off with one of the most beautiful courts I’ve ever seen. And if no other inclusion made it onto this list, we’d certainly have covered an undeniable winner. Hard act to follow? Perhaps. But walk with me here.
Nestled among the enduring allure of the French Riviera sits Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a luxury 5-star hotel that’s been serving best-in-class experiences and accommodation for the region’s many high-flying high-net-worth individuals for more than 150 years, almost as long as Novak Djokovic has been picking up Slams.
With five clay courts shaded by Aleppo ferns, palms, and olive trees, hotel guests can either enjoy a casual hit or even take lessons with the hotel’s dedicated tennis coaches to take their serve to the next level.
Amanzoe, Porto Heli, Greece

With a unique fitness and wellness experience personally curated by 5-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova, it’s easy to see why Greece’s Amanzoe make this list (as well as being chosen as the shooting location for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery).
Of course, one doesn’t often think of Greece and tennis together. In fact, there hasn’t ever been a Greek Grand Slam champion (although local hero Stefanos Tsitsipas came close with a spot in the 2023 AO Final).
Walking through Amanzoeโs hilltop tennis courts, guests can enjoy a private 60-minute hitting session with an expert in-house coach, complemented by Symmetria full-body training. For the ill-informed, this is a modern treatment inspired by ancient Greek callisthenics.
That’s followed by a choice of Chanting or Trataka meditation and a restorative finale of passive stretching with hydrotherapy or a 60-minute Thai massage. There might be a champion coming out of Porto Heli after all.
Bรผrgenstock Resort, Switzerland

Swiss hedonism comes in many shapes and forms, but few extra-curricular pastimes capture the same sense of unbridled luxury and class quite like a perfectly presented tennis court right in the heart of the Alps. And that’s exactly what guests can enjoy with this next one.
Perched about 500m above Lake Lucerne, Bรผrgenstock Resort in Switzerland is one of Europeโs most dramatic and luxurious alpine retreats.
Here, the ultra-rich and famous can take a break from the excitement of Watches & Wonders for a hit in one of the most beautiful courts in the world.
Forget hotels, the Diamond Domes, reopened in 2017, are a destination in their own right: striking architectural structures housing Davis Cupโstandard indoor courts, alongside an outdoor court, all set against sheer alpine cliffs and sweeping lake views, designed for year-round play at the highest level, with private coaching and absolute discretion as standard. Need I say more?
Cheval Blanc Randheli, Maldives

Now, for many, the Maldives is all sun, sea and scuba (some of the best in the world). But stick to the dry land long enough, and you’ll also find one of the world’s premier hotel tennis courts at Cheval Blanc Randheli, cocooned within an intimate canopy and just one awry toss away from the turquoise vista for which this area is known.
Tennis here is truly distinctive; it’s barefoot luxury, with two professional-standard courts (built to US Open and Paris Masters spec) just a short boat ride away on Maakurandhoo Island. Here, guests can enjoy a hit in paradise on two sun-soaked courts set against lush jungle and lagoon panoramas.
Of course, the hotel also offers personalised coaching for all levels, too, so players can work on their game at the best-kept secret on the Indian Ocean.
Gstaad Palace, Gstaad, Switzerland

Another trip to Switzerland (because you can never really have too many) takes us to Gstaad Palace, a picture-perfect Alpine palace where old-world elegance feels right at home in 2026.
For more than a century, Gstaad has welcomed everyone from members of the royal family to A-list celebrities. But this revered location has always enjoyed discerning travellers through its doors to enjoy a quintessential Swiss experience within the Bernese Alps.
And since it opened, sport has been at the heart of this luxury setting, and with four outdoor clay courts right next to the hotel, tennis is chief among them. It’s the perfect spot for rallies under mountain panoramas, and when the weather turns, three indoor courts ensure year-round play.
Come in the summer for the best experience, as travellers attending during July and August can coincide their stay with the legendary Roy Emerson Tennis Weeks, a Gstaad Palace tradition running since 1973, offering elite coaching, exhibition matches, and social play on the hotelโs alpine clay courts.
Zannier Bรฃi San Hรด, Vietnam

For many (myself included), Vietnam holds a very special place in their hearts during the formative years of travel and adventure.
I first visited Vietnam as a 22-year-old, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. And I’ve never looked back. Of course, I’d like to think my travel preferences have evolved somewhat since then, replacing overnight coaches and beachside hostels with more classy choices.
For me, Zannier Bรฃi San Hรด is such a choice: a secluded barefoot-luxury beach resort set on a pristine private peninsula in central Vietnam, wrapped by ancient rice paddy fields, verdant hills, and a one-kilometre white-sand coral bay. If you’re searching for luxury in one of the world’s most beautiful countries, look no further.
The property opened on 1 December 2020 and comprises standalone villas inspired by traditional Vietnamese architecture, each with private terraces, plunge pools, and natural materials.
It also boasts two tennis courts and a padel court nestled within lush grounds, alongside a 24/7 fitness centre, yoga and aerobics studio, watersports centre and beachfront activities; all designed to let guests play against the backdrop of tropical palms, bamboo groves and the breathtaking beauty of the South China Sea.
Unfortunately, due to Typhoon Kalmaegi and extensive floods in Central Vietnam towards the tail end of 2025, Zannier Bรฃi San Hรด has been forced to close for renovations, so save your annual leave for its timely April reopening.
Stoke Park Country Club, Spa & Hotel, UK

Famous for the central meeting point in Matthew Vaughn’s Layer Cake, starring a young Daniel Craig and Tom Hardy, the Stoke Park Country Club is a grand Palladian estate just outside of London, with 300 acres of Capability Brownโstyle parkland and one of the country’s most prestigious tennis environments โ which is hardly surprising given it sits just a short drive from SW19 and Wimbledon, the worldโs oldest and most revered tennis championship.
More country house than hotel, Stoke Park has immaculate grass courts, clay courts and indoor facilities, followed, naturally, by Single Malts and the unmistakable sense of old-money exclusivity.
Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives

Another trip to the Maldives takes us to Gili Lankanfushi, which, for many, is the country’s original castaway fantasy that’s been tailor-made for the worldโs most discerning holidaymakers.
Set on a private coral island just 20 minutes by speedboat from Malรฉ, Gili Lankanfushi delivers guests complete discretion with a single, well-maintained outdoor court set within the resortโs lush tropical gardens.
It’s just a short stroll from the beach and overwater villas, allowing guests to play in privacy and peace framed by palms and ocean breezes. Sometimes the most luxurious stay isn’t the oldest or even the most well-known. Sometimes, real luxury is having an island experience all to yourself.
Cromlix House, Scotland

Cromlix House will always hold a special place for Olympic gold medallist, Wimbledon champion, and all-round top bloke, Andy Murray.
His grandparents, Roy and Shirley Erskine, celebrated their silver wedding anniversary here in 1982, followed by golden and diamond anniversaries, birthdays and three Murray weddings โ including Andyโs own in 2015.
After purchasing the property in 2013, Murray preserved its legacy, and in the years since then, Murray’s wife, Kim, has transformed one of the familyโs most meaningful places into a polished luxury retreat for travellers and tennis fans alike.
Set within 34 acres of private woodland, the estate features a discreet, immaculately maintained outdoor tennis court. It’s not exactly Centre Court or the Rod Laver Arena. But that’s by design. This is the perfect place for an early-morning hit just as Scotland’s signature frost sets in. It’s a showstopper, for all the right reasons.
Round Hill Hotel & Villas, Montego Bay, Jamaica

For me, Jamaica will always scream old-school glamour with a tennis racquet in hand. It’s sun-bleached courts with warm Caribbean air. Where a morning hit can seamlessly roll into a saltwater swim, perhaps a long lunch, then another session as the sun begins to dip down.
Set on a secluded 110-acre tropical peninsula overlooking the Caribbean Sea, there’s no better place to live out this than Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Jamaica’s Montego Bay.
The estate has long-been a favourite of world leaders, cultural icons and Hollywood A-listers, combining classic Ralph Lauren-designed guestrooms and private villas with pristine beaches and all the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect from luxury accommodation.
But, of course, we’re here for the courts. And at Round Hill Hotel & Villas, they’re not short on that: five beautifully maintained courts โ a mix of Har-Tru clay and hard surfaces โ set within the estateโs lush tropical grounds, whatever time of the day. It’s the perfect setting to finish with in our rankings, and easily, one of the best tennis hotels in the world.
