James Want is the co-founder & former editor of Boss Hunting and one of Australia's preeminent men's style, watch, and whisky commentators.
Hailing from Sydney, he studied at Charles Sturt University earning degrees in both Communications/Advertising and Business/Marketing. After stints in media buying at Mediacom, and marketing at Red Bull, he launched The Versatile Gent in 2012 – one of Australia's first online men's lifestyle publications – before meeting Jack Slade and amalgamating TVG and Boss Hunting under the Luxity Media banner in 2017. He has been featured on the pages of the Australian Financial Review, Expedia, and SMH, and has appeared on Sky News to discuss the digital media space.
He left Boss Hunting & B.H. Magazine in 2026.
