Tarantino’s Possible ‘Star Trek’ Film To Be Like ‘Pulp Fiction’ In Space

Any time a movie discussion is brought up with your mates and everyone’s deliberating over what the top 10 best flicks of all-time are, I’m 99% certain a Quentin Tarantino film or two make the list. 

Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds are just some of the iconic classics that Tarantino has genius-ly crafted, in which we eternally thank him for bestowing our screens with timeless masterpieces. 

2019 saw Tarantino drop another fire film, with his take on the Manson family murders in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. During his press tour, Tarantino was pretty vocal on his idea of taking on a Star Trek film, teasing his fans with his awesome ideas for a galactic classic. 

In an interview with Deadline, Tarantino was adamant in reiterating that his Star Trek film would no doubt follow the same stylistic approach of his previous films, which are adored by millions. 

“If you’ve seen my nine movies, you kind of know my way is an R-rated way and a way that is without certain restrictions… and it’s going to fit exactly in the universe”.

Tarantino has fans even more excited with the fact that he’s dubbed the Star Trek film a ‘Pulp Fiction’ in space. After reading the script, Tarantino stated that he had never read a science fiction film as ambitious as this one, so if it’s set to be made, he knew he couldn’t say no to directing it. 

“If I do it, that’s exactly what it’ll be. It’ll be ‘Pulp Fiction’ in space. That ‘Pulp Fiction’-y aspect, when I read the script, I felt, I have never read a science fiction movie that has this sh*t in it, ever…there’s no science fiction movie that has this in it.”

However, if Tarantino takes this on that means it’ll be his tenth film, meaning it’ll be his last, as his philosophy still stands that the tenth will be his last. 

Exciting as it sounds, I’m not sure the world is ready to part with the infamous cut-to-credit Written and Directed By Quentin Tarantino.
