How did we get here? Honestly. I thought we were better than this. Supreme bricks? Fine. Supreme Oreos? Go nuts. But a Supreme and Mac Tools workstation? This feels like a cultural low point.
Regardless of how I or anyone else may feel, Supreme has officially hinted at the release of this necessary collaboration. You know, because hypebeasts work with their hands and all. Sure, I’m not exactly a hero myself, being the desk jockey that chooses to spend their 9-5 snarking cashed-up fourteen-year-olds. But somebody has to do it.
This latest item is based on the Mac Tools model T5025. According to the tool distributor, it will be a double-bay workstation featuring extra large 3-inch by 5-inch sliding drawers with thinner organising drawers. Intended for tools, but probably to be used for, oh I don’t know, underwear?
An integrated power strip will also be on hand, obviously intended for power tools. But will probably be used to charge an iPhone or Alienware gaming laptop. What I’m not-so-subtly getting at here is the fact that the biggest tool around the Supreme x Mac Tools workstation is the one who actually pays money for it.
In terms of release date and retail price, neither details have officially been confirmed. Although a standard non-douchey Mac Tools workstation usually costs more than US$5,000 – so expect a price in the ballpark above that for the Supreme branding, and multiply it by seven to account for resale markup.
At least we can seek solace in the knowledge that the world’s most overvalidated brand will soon realise the breadth of their domain and weep – for there were no more worlds to conquer.
