- With Joseph Kosinski’s F1 movie in the rear-view mirror, Brad Pitt is now turning his attention to the deadly Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race.
- Channing Tatum is reportedly attached to star with his longtime producing partner Reid Carolin (Dog) tapped to direct.
- This package, landed by Amazon MGM Studios, will also entail a documentary series co-produced with Box to Box Films (Formula 1: Drive To Survive).
We’re just a few weeks away from witnessing Joseph Kosinski’s F1 in all its wheel-to-wheel glory, and leading man Brad Pitt has already lined up the next project… which also involves another motorsport at notoriously dangerous speeds. Perhaps even the most dangerous.
According to Deadline, the Hollywood power player is set to produce both a film and docuseries about the legendary Isle of Man TT Race via his Plan B production company, with Channing Tatum locked in to front the scripted half of this package (secured by Amazon MGM Studios). The latter is also producing through his and film director/noted Tatum collaborator Redi Carolin’s (Dog) Free Association.

“Plot details remain vague, but the scope and history of the legendary race have all the notes of an epic feature film,” explains Justin Kroll of Deadline.
“Long before Formula 1, World Endurance, and MotoGP, there was the Isle of Man TT. As the world’s oldest continuously running motorsport event, it remains a one-of-a-kind spectacle.”

“With riders pushing man and machine to the edge at nearly 200 MPH, the TT represents the pinnacle of sporting endeavour and the relentless pursuit of glory.”
What we do know, however, is that the screenplay has been written by Ford v Ferrari scribe Jason Keller and Bryan Johnson.
Interestingly enough, the corresponding docuseries – dubbed The Greatest Race On Earth – has already been filmed; captured during last year’s TT races, complete with “never-before-seen” access to the riders and the races thanks to an exclusive partnership between the producers and the event promoters.
And just to get your freak juices flowing, aside from the names listed above, this was produced by Box to Box Films (the same folks behind Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive To Survive), as well as Mediawan (majority stakeholder of Plan B), with the participation of Entourage Ventures.
Kroll continues: “The never-before-seen docuseries is a 4×45-minute cinematic, character-driven series where riders chase their dreams and embrace life to its fullest.”

“Through intimate moments, the series explores what drives these extreme riders to take such risks. The series looks into the consequences of this commitment, not only for them but for those around them.”
“It is not just a thrilling adventure experienced through these extraordinary individuals but a deep dive into what sometimes drives us as human beings.”
