DiCaprio & Scorsese Join Forces in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

Director-actor duo Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are set to collaborate once again, this time on an adaptation of David Grann’s 2017 book, Killers of the Flower Moon.

The duo’s previous collaborations, including celebrated films such as The Wolf of Wall Street and Shutter Island, have won them many an accolade, including the National Board of Review Spotlight award for career collaboration in 2013.

This time, Killers of the Flower Moon will challenge the duo with a very different angle. This story, set in 1920’s Oklahoma, is a chilling crime drama beginning with the Osage Nation discovering oil under their land. After the discovery, they find themselves slowly being murdered, one by one. As the death toll rises, the newly created FBI takes up the case and unravels a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes to date.

Scorsese will produce alongside Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Sikelia Productions’ Emma Tillinger Koskoff and DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions.

“When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it — the people, the settings, the action — and I knew that I had to make it into a movie,” states Scorsese.

Scorsese and DiCaprio will be working together to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen in the near future.
